The new generation Planmeca Compact™ i Touch has a fully integrated
touch panel for excellent usability and workflow. The dental unit use is
made simple by displaying clear symbols and text in the large display.
Both the dentist and assistant have good access to the panel and
benefit from its excellent viewing angles.
For enhanced infection control, the touch panel is fully integrated
into the durable aluminium console. The powder-painted epoxy
surface is easy to keep clean and it tolerates disinfection agents well.
The smooth-lined design with open handles offers the possibility
to use sleeves if preferred.

Easy cleaning, optimal clinic infection control
The key advantage of the Planmeca Compact i touch panel is
a more straightforward use of instrument features. The dynamic
user-interface displays only the relevant functionalities related
to the selected instrument. All necessary adjustments are done
effortlessly in one screen. Planmeca Compact i Touch provides optimal
support for user-preferences and adapts to different clinical needs.
All infection control features and cleaning cycles are very simple to use
thanks to the intuitive user-interface. The user is guided with simple
notifications during cleaning cycles. This motivates the users to follow
infection control guidelines from the first moment on.

The touch panel provides the possibility to fully enjoy the benefits

in clinical workflow with intelligent instrument settings and
presets. These features truly demonstrate, how a Planmeca digital
dental unit delivers full control and performance of modern
dental instruments.
Planmeca dental units are the first to provide innovative integration of digital dental unit
and software. When connecting your dental unit to Planmeca Romexis software, all user
activities (e.g. instruments use, cleaning routines, chair movements etc) are automatically
recorded. The generated data can then be used for remote assistance, preventive
maintenance and quality-control purposes. This solution, only available from Planmeca,
guarantees a long lifespan for the dental unit.
Planmeca is proud to introduce Planmeca PlanScan™,
the first dental unit integrated intraoral scanner with
open connectivity to various CAD/CAM systems.
The system provides fast and real-time scanning.
The data is instantly available for CAD/CAM design
and for manufacturing of crowns, bridges or surgical
guides. The digital scanning data can be combined with
Planmeca 3D X-ray data providing perfect starting point
for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Remote connection for smooth clinic operation
Planmeca is the first manufacturer to offer an innovative connectivity
between digital dental units and software. By connecting
the dental unit to Planmeca Romexis® Clinic Management module,
all user activities (e.g. instruments use, cleaning routines, chair
positions etc.) are automatically recorded. A wide array of new
services for quality-control and maintenance open up for Planmeca
dental unit users.
Planmeca Romexis brings new cutting-edge services to your dental
practice. Its Clinic Management module enables direct remote
connections to the digital dental unit. Remote monitoring and
real-time user-assistance guarantee smooth daily work by minimizing
any possible loss of time.
Clear benefits with networked dental units
All Planmeca Compact™ i dental units can be networked and
connected to Planmeca Romexis. A practical advantage is that dentists
or hygienists can easily adjust and save their preferred automatic
chair positions and instrument presets. The user-specific settings
are instantly available from every unit of the clinic making it an ideal
solution for large practices or dental universities with multiple users.
Another benefit is easy remote software updates for new features.
Remote mass software updates enable significant time and
cost-savings for larger clinics. This means that users can enjoy
the benefits of new instrument features as early as possible.
Efficiency and significant cost savings
Planmeca Romexis Clinic Management module offers accurate and
real-time information of all dental unit operations, which is useful for
clinic business planning. The system automatically generates mileage
reports, just like your car, so that dental unit servicing can be planned
based on actual usage.
Such pre-planning allows dental unit servicing to be carried out
proactively, resulting in cost-savings. Before every service visit,
the intelligent system provides exact and accurate information
on the service needs and the visit can be carefully planned.

Infection control and clean water have always been
essential elements in Planmeca dental unit design and
product development. Years of close cooperation with
leading dental universities in the field of microbiology
have resulted in comprehensive and scientifically
proven solutions for both external and internal dental
unit infection control.
The advanced water treatment solutions guarantee
that all water entering patient’s mouth is always clean
ensuring safe dental treatment for the patient and
safe working environment for the dental team.
Planmeca has designed an innovative suction tube
cleaning system to guarantee proper functioning
of the dental unit suction system and safe
treatment environment.
With the highly automated Planmeca Waterline
Cleaning System™ the microbial biofilm is efficiently
removed from the dental unit waterlines. The cleaning
agent is fed into the dental unit waterlines, where it
affects overnight and is flushed away next morning.
This reliable system guarantees excellent water
quality in dental treatment.
The system automatically dilutes and supplies
the cleaning agent in the suction tubes and
removes all air to ensure complete contact with
all internal surfaces. The cleaning agent is left to
act for two minutes providing significantly more
effective cleaning.
External infection control made easy
Smooth and uniform surfaces of Planmeca Compact™ i
guarantee easy cleaning and impeccable external
infection control, crucial for safe dental treatment.
Powder-painted epoxy surfaces are extremely durable
and cleaning agent resistant. All critical components
can also be autoclaved and the bowl can be detached
for easy cleaning.

As a result of the periodic weekly procedure, water
used in treatment is left totally free of chemicals
without altering the pH, smell, taste or chemical
composition of the used water.
The daily cleaning procedure is fast and simple
thanks to the clear user-interface and the integrated,
automated system that is free of extra accessories.
For larger clinics and institutions, Planmeca is the only
manufacturer in the market to offer a centralised
suction tube cleaning system, which offers significant
cost-effectiveness. Infection control protocol can be
further enforced with the help of Planmeca Romexis®
reporting system.

Practical upright sitting position
Extensive legroom
Compact in size and perfectly balanced
To guarantee fluent workflow, easy patient entrance
and exit is supported with an automatic legrest.
This feature also provides excellent patient comfort
and is practical in doctor-patient consultation or
prosthodontic treatments.
The side-lifting chair and small cuspidor base
maximise the legroom for both the dentist and
assistant. The floor is left free for stools and for
the dental team can work as close as possible
to the patient. The lean and narrow backrest
design also contributes to excellent access to
the patient’s mouth.
The small instrument console of Planmeca Compact i
can be placed near patient for easy instrument
reach. Perfectly balanced instrument arms
guarantee ergonomic instruments use: only a tiny
movement is necessary to activate the instrument.
Instrument arms can also be adjusted depending on
instrument weight.

offers several delivery and suction arms and a wide
range of instruments to choose from.
Planmeca SingLED® with latest LED technology
The advanced LED technology provides illumination
that is not only ultra bright and cool but also
environment friendly. The energy-efficient power
consumption does not however compromise light
intensity. The new Planmeca SingLED® design
provides optimised illumination to the treatment
area due to three rotating axes in the light head.
The flexible movement range allows easy adjustement
of the light head from upper to lower jaw position.
With hands-free light-intensity adjustment and
autoclavable handles infection control is impeccable.
