Let’s Pray
Let’s pray for a different missionary family each day this week!
Choose a family from the graph above for each day

Starting a new mission work
takes time and prayer.
Just like a butterfly has to go through changes, missionaries need to take
steps when Jesus sends them to a mission field.
Magical Butterfly Garden: Butterflies 2
First, they need to really pray and make sure they are ready.
NEXT, they need to share with other Christians and travel to churches to
raise financial support. Finally, they fly off to their new home.
Print out this image to use in your butterfly garden. Just color and cut out.
What can we do to help them? We can support them with notes of encouragement, give money to support them, and pray for them.

Let’s color
the missionary’s new home!
Most missionaries will not live in a house that looks like
this one. Some will live in big city apartments, some will
live in simple cinder block houses in villages, and some
will live in big houses where they can host visitors.
Color Code:
H - green
O - Brown
U - Blue
S - Red
Some missionaries
live in cities.
Some missionaries live in
apartment
buildings.
Now draw yourself in
one of the windows!
What jobs do missionaries do
when they live in another country?
God calls people with many different skills to help on the mission field.
What jobs are these people doing?

Woodworking is a valuable
skill in every country.
Can you see things in your
classroom that are made of
wood? Someone had to have
the skills to cut, sand and
fit wood together to even
make your church building!
Who is the most famous
carpenter in the Bible?

Our missionary to Romania,
Voicu Marian, is teaching a
woodworking class for the
children in a village near
their home.
Let’s help the children
think of projects to make.
First, list one item which
begins with the letters
listed in the box.
Next, arrange the letters
to make the name of their
country.

Our world is full of unusual animals!
We can see them at the zoo but, sometimes, our Missionary kids can see
them closer to their missionary homes. Some Missionary Kids also have
pets. Help these animals find their way to the right country by drawing
them a path. Many may live in more than one country!

Helping in Haiti
Let’s pray for
our leaders in Haiti
Pastor William
and Marie Bertrand
were born in Haiti,
moved to the U.S.
for many years, and
moved back to Haiti
to work more closely
with our churches
there.
Friends Churches in
Haiti help the people
with medical clinics,
schools, and churches.
The children in Haiti
are very poor but,
they can play with
some little animals
that “jump!’
Connect the dots to
find out what kind of
animal they can play
with!
The first one to finish
connecting the dots
can pray for the
Bertrand family
in Haiti!
How can we pray for the children?
Pray also that they will have stable families where they will feel
loved and learn to love Jesus and live their lives the right way.
Haitian Proverbs:
“The rock in the water does not know
the pain of the rock in the sun.”
(Its’ hard to un⇢der⇢stand
an⇢oth⇢er person’s prob⇢lems.)
“However bad today has been,
tomorrow could be better.”
Did you know that families
in Haiti often have big
vegetable gardens?
What is your favorite vegetable?
