For most of us singin’ the blues,
*&*#@&+%#@& happens a lot on the
golf course. Playin’ the blues – well for
most of us that is just out of the question!
Now, listenin’ to the blues…that is another
story - we can all do that relatively well.
So, if you are a golfer and you like blues
music then you need to plan on visiting
the Mississippi Delta this spring for the
1st ever Golf & Blues Tournament in
Tunica, Mississippi.
April 25th through May 1st, 2010 are
the dates, and your six-night stay at Harrah’s
Tunica Casino Resort will see you playing
four rounds of fun tournament golf with
daily breakfast at Paula Deen’s Buffet, and
lots of goodies for all participants! But
don’t be thinking that the two days you are
not playing, that there is nothing planned,
because on one of the days you will be taking
a short drive up to Memphis for a visit to
Graceland and check out where the “King”
Elvis Presley lived. That’s followed by an
evening of partying on the infamous Beale
Street. Your other day off has you making
a short trek south to Clarksdale, deep into
blues country for a tour of the Delta

All the tournament courses are in
Tunica and less than 5 minutes from the
Harrah’s Casino. In fact, the Cottonwoods
Course is on the Harrah’s property. This
18-hole Hale Irwin-designed championship
course has a Scottish links feel with gentle
rolling fairways. The course has recently
undergone some renovations and plays to
7,200 yards with a slope rating of 119. Don’t
be fooled by the slope rating, in its routing
Irwin has created a few risk reward holes that
will come and bite you if you’re not careful.
Water, water everywhere is the theme
for Tunica National, Tunica’s newest and
arguably the finest golf facility featuring an
exciting 7,210-yard, par 72 championship
layout designed by renowned PGA Tour
Player and architect Mark McCumber and
one of the finest practice facilities around.
You will find water on pretty much every

describes his River Bend Links Course as

Scottish links-style course features lakes, sand
and grass bunkers and strategically placed
mounds. The 9th and 18th holes are both
an exceptional finish to each nine. Built next
to the Mississippi River, animals still inhabit
the area, and during the round you may see
deer, fox, or wild turkey. The name alone
conjures up images of wind-swept treeless
terrain, and that is exactly what River Bend
Links is.

Each individual golf course has its own
policy regarding rain and refunds by
which we as golf providers must adhere.
The normal position each course takes is
as follows:
1. It is the responsibility of the golfer to
show up at the designated course for
his reserved tee-time.
2. If the course chooses not to open, or
the start of your round is not iminent,
the course in most cases will mark the
voucher NO CHARGE. In this event
you must call MB Golf Wizard. Upon
verification with the course, you will
receive a full refund.
3. In some cases the course may issue a
rain check. In this event we cannot
issue a refund, as MB Golf Wizard
will be charged for your round.
4. If you start play and the course
suspends or cancels play for the day,
the course will in almost every instance
issue only a rain check. These rain
checks are usually good for up to 2
years and are transferable (depending
on the course).
5. If you complete nine holes and the
course cancels or suspends play, they
will usually issue only a 9-hole rain
check. These rain checks are also
transferable and good for the same
amount of time.
6. If the course is OPEN & PLAYABLE
and you do not report for your
reserved tee-time, MB Golf Wizard
will always be charged. Therefore,
we cannot issue any refunds regardless
of the circumstances.

contact the course in question for you to
obtain their specific policy. You must call
us at least one hour prior to your reserved
tee-time. We will call the course and let you
know what options are available to you. We
will always attempt to accommodate your
specific request. If your scheduled tee-time
is earlier than our operating hours, it will
be your responsibility to contact the course.
HOWEVER the FINAL decision is up to the
specific golf course.

a $15 service fee per person. If a refund
is necessary for any reason, individual
property rules and regulations will
apply. In any event, no cash refunds.
Specials and rates may be withdrawn
or changed at any time. Special events
and holiday prices may be higher.
Properties may require minimum night
stays at certain times.
