MAY 17 PROGRAM REPORT
By Bob Markworth
The May 17 meeting was held at the Jerry
Pawlak Residence in Lincoln, NE. Jerry’s
residence is home to a Hammond A-101 1962
Model Organ with Leslie Speaker and Yamaha
keyboard. In the first part of the program
Jerry played the Hammond as if performing for
a program on a theatre pipe organ. The
second half of the program included the
Yamaha keyboard utilized as a rhythm unit
with many instrumental added tracks. I feel
that Jerry was at his best as he transitioned
from theatre, to jazz, to Hammond organ
presentations. All applauded after Jerry’s Jazz
Version of On A Clear Day. Salad, pizza and
desserts were served after the program.
Thanks to Janet Domeier and Joan Richter for
their help and for furnishing the salad and
desserts. Open console followed the formal
program. Editor’s Note: As there were only
10 who travelled from Omaha, it is apparent
that the May Chapter Meeting should be held
at a more convenient location in the future as
Omaha members are either not able or not
willing to travel to Lincoln.
