“The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.”
– Acts 13:52
Because the disciples heard Our Lord’s call, they were able
to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality.
We too can experience that same joy if we take time to
open our hearts, listen to God, ask for His direction and
allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and our decisions.

A CHURCH ON THE MOVE:
A SPECIAL
HOW TO GET MISSION
MOTHER’S DAY
AND MERCY IN MOTION!
GIFT
Mother’s Day will again be the focus of the
Christ Child Society of Columbus Annual
Layette Fund Drive. Our members assemble a gift package of
baby care items. Each layette contains a sleep sac, receiving
blanket and/or handmade quilt, sleepers, onesies, a bottle,
diapers, wipes, bib, book, towel and washcloth, and educational
material about infant care for new mothers. Last year 1,700
layettes were distributed to needy mothers and their babies
throughout Central Ohio. A layette can be purchased in honor
of (or in memory of) your mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter,
sister and friend. A personalized Mother’s Day card announcing
your thoughtful gift will be sent to your honoree or to her family
(in memory of). Also, a card bearing the name of your honoree (or
in memory of) will be inserted in one of our layettes. To order a
layette, send the name and address of the honoree or her family
(in memory of) and a check ($35.00 for each layette) payable to
Christ Child Society of Columbus. Please send the order by April
25, 2016 to Layette Fund Chair, Christ Child Society of Columbus,
P.O. Box 340091, Columbus, OH 43234-0091. Questions? Contact
Theresa at 614-457-9409. Thank you for your generous support
of this important service project.
Joe Paprocki, National Consultant
for Faith Formation for Loyola
Press, will be presenting at St.
Elizabeth Parish, from 7:00-8:30
p.m. on April 28. Admission is
free and snacks will be provided!
In his new book, A Church on the
Move: 52 ways to Get Mission
and Mercy in Motion (Loyola Press), Joe Paprocki, DMin,
offers a number of exciting, practical, realistic, and doable
strategies for transforming the way the average parish
thinks, functions, worships, forms people in the faith, and
engages the world so that we can truly become a church
on the move where people encounter the transforming
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his presentation, Joe will
specifically focus on how a Church on the move forms people
in faith.
RSVP by April 22, 2016 for this FREE event! Call or email the
Parish Office at 614-885-7814 or [email protected] for
a registration form.
FAMILY ADORATION HOUR PARISH HISTORY
Parents: Have you wanted
COMMITTEE
to visit the Adoration Chapel
with your young children but
NEWS
hesitated to do so because of
their active (and not always
quiet) participation? St.
Michael will begin a Family
Adoration hour so you feel
welcome and comfortable
to visit the chapel with your
children. Parents/guardians
with their young children
are invited to the Family
Adoration Hour the first
Thursday of every month from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Childfriendly materials will be available to use at your ease, and feel
free to bring your own or just sit in the presence of Jesus. The
next Family Adoration Hour will take place Thursday, May 5th,
from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Questions? Please contact Maria
Elliott at [email protected] or 614-353-0593.
Parish History Committee Meetings are back in session,
being held Wednesday evenings in the St. Raphael Meeting
Room (under Marian Hall) at 7:00 p.m. Any parishioner
is welcome to attend and help us organize our collection,
decide how to archive them for the future, as well as create
new displays to help celebrate our parish’s 70th Anniversary
this year.
GREATER
COLUMBUS RIGHT TO LIFE
Join fellow parishioners and Greater Columbus Right to Life on Monday, June 13th (doors open at 5:45
p.m., program begins at 6:30 p.m.) for an evening with Matt Walsh. Matt is a popular writer and blogger
with a large national following whose thoughts on life, faith, family, and our nation routinely reach millions
of Americans, especially the social media generation, where one of his opinion pieces was one of the ten
most-shared Facebook posts of 2015 (and THE highest opinion piece). More importantly, Matt is a husband
and proud father of twins. Outside of writing, he has hosted radio shows and podcast and is a prominent national speaker. There is
no fee to register or attend the event. An invitation to support the work of Greater Columbus Right to Life will be extended following
the dinner. To sit at a St. Michael Parish table, please contact Diane Vincent at 740-549-4351 or [email protected] or Matt
Malich at 330-316-8052 or [email protected]. This event will sell out – make your reservations in advance.

PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AT ST. MICHAEL
ADORATION SCHEDULE
The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed during Masses, including weekday Masses.
Exposition will not take place in the Chapel during the following hours:
Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
Tuesday, 6:00-7:00 a.m.
Tuesday, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Saturday, 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Saturday, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
During these times, the faithful are asked to attend Mass or make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament reserved in the tabernacle in church.
Please remember to insure that your Adoration hour has coverage if you will be absent:
• If you have a prayer partner, check with them to see if they will be at Adoration while you are away. If they will be there, there’s no
need to find a substitute.
• If you don’t have a fellow adorer on your time slot, or both you and your prayer partner will be unavailable, please secure a
substitute/trade for your time slot.
If you are not already on the Adorer email lists and would like to be, please send an email to [email protected].
These are Google groups (one for schedule change announcements and a separate one for subs) that you can be added to with any
type of email address. This will enable you to easily request a substitute or trade. After sending out a sub request, please be sure that
you have a commitment from someone to take your place. If no one steps up to take your time slot, please contact your Division
Leader or Hourly Coordinator for assistance.
