f u r n i t u r e
chelsea textiles, renowned for twenty years for their faithful recreations of
seventeenth and eighteenth century fabrics, launched their first collection
of gustavian furniture at decorex international 2004. since that time,
they have steadily added new pieces and new colour combinations,
to create a range of unparalleled virtuosity and versatility.
the collection is handmade to traditional specifications of construction
and hand-painted and hand-distressed in muted scandinavian colours,
such as antique grey, gustavian grey, swedish blue, french green, antique white,
french white, seafoam, almond, pigeon, khaki, and river.
the clean lines and elegance of chelsea textiles ’ gustavian furniture are equally
at home in the grandest, most traditional room and the pared down simplicity
of a more contemporary setting – a true design classic.
