ediSulfoneâ UF ULTRAFILTERS
MEDICA developed a complete range of ultrafilters covering different needs through
a various range of surfaces between 0.25 m² and 2.8 m².

The most representative models of MediSulfone UF ultrafilters range are:
÷ D150/U Ultrafilter designed for pyrogens and endotoxins removal from water
solution such as replacement solutions for on-line hemodiafiltration. The pyrogen
content of the initial solution is reduced by a factor of 105.

DIALYSIS
Medica’s product range for low body weight patients includes a
total of four dialyser models, amongst those, two sizes are high flux
and two low flux. All have been developed to obtain the lowest
priming volume and provide the best patient care.
PLASMA EXCHANGE
To complete its current product range MEDICA has developed three new
small size plasmafilters based on Micropolyethersulfone membrane.

CARDIOsmart is an integrated system for the treatment of
patients affected by Congestive Heart Failure, such

DECAPsmart® Plus
DECAPsmart® Plus provides enhanced CO2 removal
therapies by combining oxigenation and ultrafiltration to

EXIPER is a compact unit for oncologic locoregional
normo/hyperthermia chemo-perfusion treatments like STOP FLOW,
HIPP/HIPT (Abdominal or thoraxic intracavitary hyperthermic
chemo-perfusion), IPL/IOP (Isolated limbs/organs hyperthermic
chemo-perfusion).
The patented heating system made up of a high thermal efficiency
heater and a miniaturised heat exchanger, enables the temperature
set to be reached very rapidly and maintained at the standard
required thus guaranteeing appreciable reduction in the duration of
the procedures.
Moreover, the unit, with three integrated peristaltic pumps, manages
the fluid dynamics of the different therapies maintaining a constant
hydro-hematological balance using continuous weight control.

Medica Méditerranée manufactures blood lines for the main dialysis machines in use. Blood
lines manufactured in Medica Méditerranée factories are marketed either under Medica brand

Vitalflow is Medica’ s infusion line of products. It includes sets and accessories for intravenous
and transfusion
therapies, nutrition, bladder and arthroscopic irrigation, aspiration,
thorocentesis and paracentesis.

PVC is employed in a greatest number of medical disposables. Nevertheless, some kinds of
medicines cause chemical reactions when they get in touch with the PVC present in the infusion

MEDICA water-filter products are based on its MediSulfones UF ultrafiltration membrane.
MediSulfones UF is developed to meet the increasing demand of wide spectrum filtration
membranes for water and water-based solutions.
Its superior filtration capabilities derives from the structure of the membrane: the internal skin (1
micron thickness) has a high density of small pores (nominal size 0,005 µm), determining a
molecular weight cut-off of 15kDa, meanwhile the rest of the structure has a finger-like
configuration consisting of macrovoids with mainly structural and adsorbent functions.
Thanks to its extremely low cut-off and to the adsorption capability of the polymeric surface, the
MediSulfone® UF membrane is characterized by excellent performance in the purification of
water based solutions from bacteria, viruses and endotoxins.
Starting from April 2012, Medica Water Division products are licensed worldwide to Nephros,
Inc. (www.nephros.com) till December 31, 2022. Nephros, Inc., headquartered in River Edge,
New Jersey, is a medical device company developing and marketing filtration products for
therapeutic application, infection control and water purification.
IWP - INDIVIDUAL WATER PURIFIER
IWP are portable devices to generate a microbiologically safe drinking water
from surface water sources. Filters are designed on US Army requirements
and can be used as Inline Purifier (to be installed inside a hydration carrier with
CPC quick-connectors) or Point-of-Use Purifier.
MEDiaPure™ SSU and DSU Filters
One of the main application is in the dialysis field where
purified water plays a major role. MEDiaPure™ filters
can be used as the last component in the water
purification process before going out to the dialysis stations to ensure
ultrapure water for dialysis. DSU guarantee even higher purification
performance thanks to its patented Double Stage Ultrafiltration in a single
device.
MEDiaPure™ SSU Point of Use Filters
Point of use filtration is the safest solution against Legionella and
other pathogenic agents. SSU filters are clinically tested for complete
protection against bacteria, virus and endotoxins contained in tap
water and they guarantee a long -lasting protection with high flows.
MWD-I large size Filters
Medica solution for applications where ultrapure water is required at high flow (from 2 to 6 m³/h)
as in centralized water treatment plants for medical, industrial (food & beverage) and
pharmaceutical applications.

Pico Flow2 is a double-channel system for Uroflowmetry
and Electromyography examinations of the Pelvic Floor.
Main features include: 2 channels (1 uroflow, 1 EMG optional), large graphic touch-screen display, on-line
showing-up of traces upon the screen with the possibility to
change their scale, built-in thermal printer, storage of tests
on 64 MB memory card with capability of 50 examinations,
optional software package for Windows based PC, high
precision flow transducer based on a load cell which
ensures a prolonged accuracy of measurements.
Pico Flow2 is suitable for stationary and domiciliary
uroflowmetry.
FLOW ZIG
Flow Zig is Medica Wireless Uroflowmetry with proprietary ZigBee
protocol.
Main features are: low power consumption, band 2.4 Ghz, micro-receiver
for any USB port, compatible with any Laptop or Desk Top working with
Window XP or XP embedded. Also compatible with Pico Compact, Pico
Smart and Pico Bright.
PICO SMART
Pico Smart is based on an new developed acquisition
board called ACQ3000 that offers advanced capabilities.
PICO Smart can either be based on one trolley (all-inone system) or upon 2 units connected by an Ethernet
cable or through a wireless device. It is designed to
perform all the urodynamic testing and it can be
expanded with GI manometry, cavernosometry,
biofeedback, neurophysiology. The uroflowmeter is
connected to the acquisition board by means of either a
cable 8 m long or a wireless module so that it can be put in
a private place to make the patient more comfortable.
Additional features are: 12 universal channels with plugand-play function, capability to connect more modules so
to double or triple the number of channels, ETHERNET
connectivity WiFi capability.
URODYNAMIC,GASTROENTEROLOGY & MANOMETRY CATHETERS
Urodynamic & Gastroenterology Catheters are made of PVC
and PEBAX, a polyether-amide copolymer combining surface
smoothness with high mechanical performances, allowing
reduced wall thickness of the catheter.
Manometry Catheters are supplied sterile and for single-use to
prevent cross contamination and failure of the mechanical
performances that sometimes are involved when re-usable
catheters are utilised. The single-use approach is supported by a
very competitive price. We manufacture a full range of manometry
catheters for oesophageal and anorectal application.
GASTROENTEROLOGY LINE
In this area we produce systems for manometry examinations along with dedicated catheters
and systems for prolonged oesophageal and gastric pHmetry.
BLU RUNNER
Blu Runner is a flexible device designed for prolonged
ambulatory recording (days) of pH Pressure, flow, EMG signals
up to 8 channels. It can be easily converted in a stationary
system.
Applications in Gastroenterology: oesophageal manometry and
pHmetry combined or separate, small bowel manometry, colon
manometry, anorectal manometry, EMG free or combined,
recorder for Operating theatre.
Applications in Urodynamics: bladder pressure, urethral
pressure, abdominal pressure, flow, volume, EMG free or
combined, recorder for operating theatre.
DYNO COMPACT
Dyno Compact is a computerised system for GI motility
evaluations which can record gastrointestinal pressures,
electromyography signals, detect breath and swallow. Its
advanced software is able to build up a 3D picture of the pressure
values measured along the sphincter, the so-called Sphincter
Vector Volume. Video-manometry is a special feature of this
system.
DYNO SMART
Dyno Smart is a new system for GI manometry. Dyno Smart uses
the same platform of the Pico Smart so that the two systems are
interchangeable.
With this equipment the doctor can perform all the gastrointestinal
motility testing and can add new modules to expand the diagnostic
capabilities as with the Pico Smart.

testing equipment for air pressure decay leak and
obstruction testing .
Some of P-TEST series features are:

· Wide range of testing conditions, that can be recorded
· Suitable for QA /R&D validation and routine tests

SOLVENT DISPENSERS
Tecnoideal produces a complete range of Solvent Dispensers
known as the “state of the art” technology. The dispensers are
compatible with all the solvents used in the medical industry and
provide a safe, reliable, rapid and consistent solvent bonding
procedure.
The special shape of the dispensing bushes allows the solvent
dispensing on the internal or external surface of tubings, conical
surfaces, soft and rigid drip chambers, needles and various types of
connectors and components.
A new family of solvent dispenser is offered to the market . Main innovative features are the
bigger capacity of solvent reservoir, i.e. 850 ml and a key-system that allows the installation of
only predefined and validated bushings on its holder.
ERGOLINE SYSTEM 2
ERGOLINE System 2 is the production system designed to
reach high productivity in the manufacture of assemblies such
as blood lines for hemodialysis and generally for the assembly
of medical products with the following characteristics :
· Multiple tubing lengths and diameters
· Complex tubing configurations with several components or
sub-assemblies
· Multiple assembly steps
· Coiling of finished tubing
· In-line integrity testing.
CCB
The CCB machine automatically cuts tubing from reel, coils and
bands with cohesive tape.
• Cut: the machine cuts a piece of tubing at the preset length.
• Coil: tube is coiled at the preset dimensions and for the numbers of
coils. Position and length of the free tubing ends are programmable.
•Band: the coil is banded with cohesive tape, in 3 different
configurations, as shown here below.
Tecnoideal also offers a complete range of assembly equipment, such as tubing
coiler, tubing expander, semiautomatic assembly workstations, and customised
testing devices.

DIALYZER PRODUCTION AND ASSEMBLY PLANT
Customized manufacturing and assembly machines are designed
for an automated and reliable production process, with minimal
manpower needs. “In process” quality control assures complete
traceability of each dialyzer produced.
The complete assembly line is composed of four equipment stations:
1) Pre-potting operations
2) Potting operations
3) PUR cutting and final assembly
4)Filter wetting, leak test, water removal and weight check.
DIALYSIS FIBER SPINNING LINE
Tecnoideal can design and build Polyethersulfone spinning lines
for low flux and high flux hemodialyzers, based on Medica R&D
know-how on fiber spinning.
The size of the spinning line can be adjusted to the customer
requirement, starting from a basic spinning module of 2 million
km/year and with increments of 2 million km/year.
