Howard County Council, from Council Chair Calvin Ball; a Citation from Gov. Larry Hogan presented by Jennifer Gray, and an Official Citation from the Maryland General Assembly Delegate Dr. Terri Hill. To God be the glory for our past and for the expectation of a

Church Evacuation Overview
In the event of an emergency you are requested to remain where you are in order to
receive instructions on how to proceed.
If we need to evacuate the building:
1. Please follow the instructions of staff positioned along the way and head to the
designated safe area.
2. Parents please do not attempt to go and get your children if they are in Children’s
Church. Once all children have been accounted for, you will be allowed to reunite
with them.
3. Please do not attempt to go to your car or to drive off the parking lot.
4. Please remain in the designated safe area until instructions to return to the building
are given.
We are so happy to have you worship with us today.
As you take your seat, please take a minute and familiarize yourself with
where the exits are located.
In the event of an emergency you will receive appropriate instructions from
the pulpit.

 The APRIL REMNANT will be held @ Skyzone!!! On Fri., Apr. 1 middle and high schoolers
should go directly to Skyzone located at 7715 Oakland Mills Rd., Columbia at 7:30 p.m. This event
is free, but pre-registration and completion of a waiver is required! Parents should pick their children up from Skyzone by 10:15 p.m. Event registration required.
 Calling all youth in grades 8-12! It’s time to register for the Interfaith Youth Summit on Racial In-
justice. On Sat., Apr. 30th we’ll walk through enslavement to present day activism with guest
speakers Bree Newsome, Dr. Renee Harrison, Makayla Gilliam-Price and others. Space is limited
and will be open to the community next week. Event registration required.

SJBC/Carol McDaniel Turner Scholarship Application
SJBC invites 2016 high school graduates who will attend a 2-year college, 4-year college, technical or trade school in the Fall of 2016 to apply for the annual SJBC Carol McDaniel Turner
Scholarship. Applicants must be a member of SJBC for at least 1-year prior to June 4, 2016. The
application period is March 20 – May 1, 2016. Applications will be available in the infor mation rack (by the church entrance). Please place all application in the Youth Ministry mailbox by
May 1, 2016.
SJBC Graduate Recognition Ceremony (& Scholarship Presentation Event)
St John Baptist Church will also honor our 2016 high school and college graduates (including recipients of certificate, diploma and degree programs) on June 4, 2016 in the Church Fellowship

Check your mail for an invitation from your deacon to a “Utilizing My Deacon Information Session” designed to ensure that members: (1) know their deacon and (2) know exactly how to best maximize support from their deacon.
Sessions will be held Sundays immediately after each worship service until all members have had an opportunity to attend. The invitation to your session will arrive via post card two weeks before your deacon’s session. Stay tuned for announcements in the church bulletin, monitors located throughout the
building and on the church’s website. Sessions will be informative and also provide opportunity for you
to meet other St John members who live in your “neck of the woods”.
