Welcome to Ian Braddick’s Seafield Holiday Park.
Situated right beside the sea in the pretty village of
Westward Ho! and nestling between the picturesque
Kipling Tors (which offer stunning cliff top walks
overlooking the bay) with miles of golden sandy award
winning blue flag beach, our park offers one of the most
beautiful locations in the South West.
Open all year round, Seafield offers a large variety of
caravans, villas or chalets for family holidays or short
breaks and we have designated units for pet owners so
they can enjoy the holiday with you as well! Seafield is
closely located to the historic towns of Bideford and
Barnstaple with many other local attractions to keep
your interest (please see page 5) so you can do as much
or as little as you please.

Here at Seafield we pride ourselves in making your stay as
comfortable as possible and aim to accommodate for all parties
from couples to families, to those wishing to bring their four
legged friends and even disability suitable accommodation;
there’s something for everyone whatever the season!
All our accommodation is comprehensibly equipped including
free bed linen, with the beds made up for you at no extra cost.
All utilities are included in the price, except for the periods
between November and March; please ask your booking agent
for more information.
Local Area -
More to See
Seafield is situated in the glorious surroundings of the Kipling Tors
which provide coastal tracks to suit any walkers. The site enjoys
breathtaking views of Westward Ho! bay, offering over two miles
of golden sand with blue flag status and is recommended in the
Good Beach Guide. The Northam Burrows, plays host to The
Royal North Devon Championship Golf Course, with the beach
offering a fantastic variety of water sports including surfing,
bodyboarding, wind surfing and many more besides. For those
who enjoy their exercise our local Torridge Pool, open all year
round, with its fully equipped gym and sauna is a great choice
whatever the weather.

Take an inland walk or a cycling tour along the famous Tarka Trail,
or explore some of the picturesque villages dotted throughout
the area. Stroll down the cobbled streets of Clovelly flanked by
white washed 14th Century cottages to the harbour below, you’ll
feel as though you’ve stepped right into a picture postcard.
The North Devon coast offers a fantastic variety of fishing, within
walking distance from our site, either from rocks or by charter
boats from Appledore (a two minute drive) where deep sea or
wreck fishing can be enjoyed. Coarse fishing is also available.
To keep the children entertained Westward Ho! offers family
amusements, with ten pin bowling a FREE indoor soft play area at
one of the local restaurants, go-karting, bingo, crazy golf and a
variety of restaurants from fish and chips to bistro and Thai bars.

Villas and Chalets
Our park is ideal for families wishing to enjoy the ever popular self catering holiday,
with our accommodation specifically chosen by our booking staff to match your
needs. All our chalets, villas and some of our caravans enjoy fantastic views over the
bay and across to Lundy Island with most of our accommodation available
throughout the year. We’re more than happy for you to bring your four legged (or
feathered) friend as well. Short breaks are available upon request. Just ask our
booking staff who are happy to help and awaiting your call. Or use our online
booking service which is available to you at no extra cost.
Kipling Villas - Backing onto the Kipling Tors with superb views of Westward
Ho! bay these homely villas have full central heating throughout, with a fitted
shower, separate toilet and fitted kitchens with microwaves and colour TV.
These comprise one double bedroom and one twin, with a double pull out
bed in the lounge if required. These also come with a covered veranda to
enjoy an early breakfast or a late drink watching the sun set over the bay.
Deluxe Kipling Villas - A brand new addition for 2014; these upgraded, pet
free Villa’s share the same panoramic views of the bay and have full central
heating like Ivy and the Kipling Villas. Comprising a brand new fitted kitchen,
living, dining and view point area with large bay windows, separate twin and
double bedroom and pull out sofa bed, these boast a fantastic modern finish
to be proud of.
Ivy Cottage - Again backing onto the Kipling Tors, Ivy Cottage features
glorious views with wall to wall windows at the front of the accommodation
to allow you to take advantage of the best view possible. With 2 double
bedrooms and 2 twin, plus double pull out settee this enables up to 10
people to sleep in comfort. With a fully fitted kitchen with all the necessaries
including a large fridge freezer, a family shower room and covered veranda,
double glazing and gas central heating; Ivy Cottage is a real home from
home experience for all the family all year round.
Large Lundy View Villas - These recently refurbished, large 4 bedroomed
chalets comprise 2 double and 2 twin rooms set to the back of the
accommodation, with a fully fitted kitchen complete with microwave and
fridge freezer with a 26’ lounge and dining all with wall to wall windows at
the front of the accommodation to give you the best possible sea view with
a covered veranda. These also have a shower, family room and colour TV
with complimentary patio sets available to enjoy an evening meal or drinks
on the lawns in front of these villas. These are ideal for families or large groups
sleeping comfortably up to 10 people.

Small Lundy View Villas - The same fully equipped villas as our 8 to 10 berth, but
with two bedrooms; one double and one twin suitable for up to 4 adults. These
are classed as suitable for our disabled customers given the allocated parking
and separate entrance to the rear of the accommodation leading straight in
from the car park with wider door ways for extra ease. These also have the
added bonus of the veranda to enjoy our fantastic sea views.
Ennisfarne Villas - These two villas, overlooking the sea and the beach, are
4 berth accommodation; one double and one twin room. These are situated
150 yards from our park, with parking available beside the accommodation
and matter of metres walk from the sea promenade. Extremely popular
throughout the year, these have a fully equipped kitchen, separate lounge
and colour television with separate bathroom.
Caravan Holidays
The Royal Clovelly - Our highest specification caravan with three bedrooms, 12’
wide and enough room to sleep 8 persons with a double pull out bed in the
lounge. Each has a private shower and WC, fully fitted kitchen with all the
necessaries; spacious lounge, gas fire with some being both double glazed and
centrally heated.
The Hartland - These vary from 4/6 berth to 6/8 berth 12’ wide caravan, with
some sleeping up to 8. The Hartland comes with a shower and WC, fully fitted
kitchen and microwave with a spacious lounge, gas fire and TV.
The Lynton - These 2 bedroom caravans, which sleep up to 4; with one double
and one twin room; a popular van for couples, these come fully equipped with
a fitted kitchen and microwave with a spacious lounge, gas fire and TV.
The Saunton - Is 2/3 bedroom, 10’ wide caravan depending on the van; Ideal
for smaller families and those wanting a holiday on a budget. This does however
come with all the necessaries including a fully equipped fitted kitchen, lounge,
dining area, shower, WC and colour TV.
The Croyde - The smallest of our vans, which is reflected in the price, these will
sleep up to 4 people, with one double and one twin room. The Croyde, at 10’
wide this is still a beyond comfortable size, and as fully equipped as our other
vans.

The Pier House, formerly The Elizabethan, is the biggest seafront bar and
bistro in Westward Ho! situated on the cliff edge, with breathtaking views
overlooking Bideford Bay and Lundy Island. Open all year round, and
has FREE wifi, whether you want a drink, light snack or a three course
meal the menu will have something for you, from locally caught seafood
to the British classic; the carvery.
Places to Eat
Westward Ho! village centre is but an eight minute walk* from Seafield;
offering a vast array of eateries from Fish and Chips to Thai cuisine. Most
are situated on the sea front, moments from the beach and offering

delectable range of exclusive Thai cuisine, traditional English dishes, and

The Westward Arms is a restaurant and bar that boasts one of the most
outstanding sea views in the country. Newly constructed, Westward Arms is
a warm, comfortable, spacious freehouse serving up a variety of local ales
and fresh food cooked daily.
The Golden Fry offers the classic Fish and Chips; we don’t need to tell you
how to get to it, just follow your nose!
Although widely known for it’s carvery Country Cousins also offer a great a
la carte menu, with steaks, fish, chicken and specials all very popular.
The Waterfront offers an open plan bar serving a selection of mouth
watering meals to satisfy the most ravenous of appetites; a wide selection
of beer, wine and spirits to enjoy and take in the atmosphere.

How to get here
By Car
Take junction 27 off the M5 at Tiverton onto the North Devon Link
Road (A361). On reaching Barnstaple, take the A39 to Bideford and
continue across the Torridge Bridge. Keep on the A39, go straight
across the roundabout and continue for 1/2 mile, then take the next
turning on the right signposted Westward Ho! Stay on this road for
approximately 1.5 miles. This road will then take you down a steep hill
called Stanwell Hill. At the bottom take an immediate left turn onto
Merley Road. Seafield is then located at the end of the road on the
left hand side.
