FAITH FORMATION OFFICE - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Currently we are planning our 2016-2017 Faith Formation Program for children grades 1-7. As you can imagine, volunteer teachers, aids, and other assistants are essential to the success of our program. Though we have been blessed
with many volunteers to assist us in our ministry, the rapid growth of our Parish finds us in need of still more. A gift of
time in volunteer ministry could be a way of contributing to the mission of our Parish.
I encourage you to consider volunteering for such a position in our Faith Formation Program. The time commitment - 1
1/2 hours of class time on Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and/or on Saturday 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Full training will be provided. All you truly need is a willingness to help in nurturing the Faith Formation of our Parish’s
young people.
If you are interested please call the Faith Formation Office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The phone number is 718-331-8811
We thank you for considering this invitation, and we hope to talk to you soon!!

Call to Music Ministry!
St. Athanasius Adult Choir
Are you looking for your call to ministry and fellowship? Do you enjoy
music as an integral part of your worship experience? Perhaps it is time
for you to try the St. Athanasius Adult Choir.
We are currently recruiting new members for our fall season beginning
September 15th - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, you do not have to be
able to read music.
You must, however, attend our weekly rehearsals on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, our 11:30am Sunday Masses and various other Holy
Days. Your stewardship is a responsibility; you must be present weekly, on
time and prepared. Your ministry matters.
It's the perfect time to return or to be a beginner; you will be most
welcome and we'll guide you in all you need. Join us for September
through Christmas and see if it's what you've been looking for.
The musical tradition of the Catholic Church is over 2000 years old
and is a treasure of immeasurable value. Let music help deepen your
faith; make it a part of your daily life. Share. Sing. Pray twice.
Contact: Karen Caponiti, Director of Music Ministries, after any of the
Masses or at [email protected], sometime before September 15th.
Keep watch in future bulletins for more information on our

I monti
dissero: «Noi siamo più forti di te! Guarda!».

Nuestro Humilde Redentor !!!
