The 2014 Worcestershire’s Heritage
Garden Events Diary welcomes Webbs
back for another year as its official
sponsor and we would like to thank
them for their continued support and
congratulate them on their success
throughout the years. Webbs, situated
in the heart of Worcestershire, remains
to this day a family run business which
holds a fantastic reputation as one of the
leading national horticultural centres and
as a leading regional tourist attraction.
Webbs offers a relaxing day out with
inspirational gardens, extensive garden
2
centre and large restaurant providing
a vast choice of food to suit all tastes.
In addition, free parking, events for all

including Cotswold Outdoor, Hobbycraft
and Lakeland means that Webbs is sure
to provide a great day out and will once
again attract thousands of visitors in 2014
with all this on offer and much more.
This year Wychavon has plenty going on
throughout the Vale of Evesham, Pershore
and Droitwich Spa. Hopefully the following
will give you a little taster of what you can
expect for 2014…..
Between April and June the Vale of
Evesham celebrates its association with
“gras” as it hosts a variety of events all
celebrating the delicacy that is asparagus.
Commencing on the 23 April, St George’s
Day, with the Great British Asparagus Run
and closing its doors on Midsummer’s
Day, 21 June, these two months with be
full to the brim of quirky, asparagus related
events.
Droitwich Spa hosts its popular Summer
Festival for another year combining the very
best of local food, drink, music, arts and
activities from the 21 June until the 6 July.
Alternatively, have a flick through this Diary
which is bursting at the seams with other
events and attractions to find something
that suits you. Whether it is visiting National
Trust properties, wandering around open
gardens, attending village festivals or fetes,
or something fun and exciting for the kids you are sure to find it in here!
Why not lengthen your stay in
Worcestershire’s Heritage Garden to
experience the very best of the area? With a
variety of quality and local accommodation
available to suit your every need you could
turn your day trip into a spontaneous
getaway.
Keep an eye out for events
with this symbol;
these events are sure to
provide great fun for kids!
Come along to the beautiful town of
Pershore in August for the month long Plum
Festival, one to watch in 2014 following its
success in winning the Best Festivals and
Events award for the third year running.
With the town celebrating the purple fruit,
for which it is internationally known, there
will be plenty of plummy things going on to
suit the whole family.
Or join us in Droitwich Spa in September
to celebrate the towns association with
salt at the annual Salt Festival on the 13
and 14 September. There will be heritage
displays, Roman re-enactment, live music
and entertainment, stalls and much more to
see and do.
