Why (Resident Perspective)?
 To familiarize Residents in all surgical specialties with the
American College of Surgeons (ACS) and its programs and
leadership
 To provide an avenue for participation in ACS affairs
 To enable Residents to develop and use leadership skills
in organized surgery
 To provide opportunities for the opinions and concerns of
Residents to be heard by the ACS leadership

 To meet Residents/recruit future partners
 To enlist assistance with Chapter activities
 To mentor the younger generation of surgeons
 To hear the opinions and concerns of Residents on
