CAPITOL HIGH
SCHOOL PROGRAM
Is Capitol High the Place for You?
• Are you able to attend school regularly?
• Are you willing to pass all of your classes with a “C” or better?
• Are you eager to make up school credits in order to graduate?
• Are you interested in working at your own pace, completing only the
subjects YOU NEED to graduate:
If the answer is YES to these questions, you should consider attending
Capitol High School!
The Capitol High School program is designed for juniors and seniors who
are behind in credits and interested in graduating with their class. Credits
earned at Capitol High are transferred to the student’s home high school
and counted towards graduation.
Capitol High School students attend school full-time on the MetroED
Hillsdale campus. Students earn academic credits by completing
individual contracts in an instructional lab setting. They receive personal
attention and help from the teacher and aide. Contracts include textbook,
computer and project assignments.
Students also participate in a CCOC class. While at CCOC, students earn
elective credits and learn specific job skills. Capitol High School currently
serves 60 students.
Prospective students must be between 16 and 18 and have already
earned a minimum of 50 high school credits. Students who would benefit
from self-paced learning, computer-assisted instruction and personal
attention in Capitol’s supportive atmosphere should discuss this option
with their high school counselor, then call the Capitol High School office at
408-723-6550. For more information on Capitol High School Program:
