Gentlemen,
I would like to take this opportunity of presenting GULF MARINE MAINTENANCE
& OFFSHORE SERVICE COMPANY (GMMOS) through our Pre-Qualification
Document.
This document outlines GMMOS' capabilities as a General Offshore Contracting Company
in the fields of fabrication, offshore hook-up and maintenance. The base of our operations
is located in Dubai and work is carried out on Projects throughout the U.A.E.
GMMOS' Fabrication Yard is one of the most active in the region, catering to oil companies
in the Red Sea, Persian Gulf and India. Moreover, GMMOS' fabrication department is
holding the Certificate of Authorization from ASME to design and manufacture pressure
vessels.
GMMOS Engineering & Estimation department provides engineering services that begin at
the initial discussion stage through to the final design. During the bidding stage, the
Engineers perform the estimating, design calculations, prepare the design drawings and
material take-offs while also using the latest Auto Cad design packages to produce the
optimum design which can ultimately save you, the customer, valuable time and money.
GMMOS Engineers and Draftsmen have a diversified experience in Marine, Structural and
Mechanical projects which form the backbone of the Fabrication & Ship Repair Division
and together become actively involved to give the best service possible to the client.
The GMMOS group has a workforce of over 500 skilled personnel plus a full complement
of equipment and machinery that makes it possible for GMMOS to meet the stringent
needs and demands of our clients.

(GMMOS) has been established since 1981 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
under our main Commercial License No. 200154 with license activities to Oil
& Natural Gas Well Equipment Repairing & Maintenance; Ship & Boats
Maintenance Services; Steel & Basic Steel Products Trading; Paint & Varnish
Trading; Ship & Boats Spare Parts & Components Trading; Marine
Equipment & Engine Repairing & Maintenance, Ship Charter. GMMOS
Industrial License activities include Tank Manufacturing; Oil & Gas Fields
Equipment Manufacturing & Structural Steel Manufacturing.

Manufacturing & Fabrication:
Gulf Marine Maintenance & Offshore Service Company Dubai (GMMOS) has
been manufacturing pressure vessels up to 115mm Thickness since 2003. The recent
acquisition of a Hugh Smith 3000 Ton Roll Bending Machine allows for the
fabrication of vessels up to 150mm Thickness.
Our new premises at Parcel Lot No. 599-733, Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1, Dubai, are
fully functional with amenities for both the administration and manufacturing
services. The new location is operating under the same management and procedures
as at the previous location. The yard and equipment have been significantly
augmented with new cranes and production equipment.
GMMOS fabrication department holds the Certificate of Authorization from ASME
to design and manufacture pressure vessels (U & U2 Stamp), fabrication and
assembly of pressure piping (PP Stamp), fabrication and assembly of power boilers
(S - Stamp) and National Board “R” Stamp for repair and/or alterations. We have
“NB” Mark Authorization to register Boilers, Pressure Vessels, or other Pressure
retaining items with the National Board.
GMMOS holds a Certificate of API 2B Monogram for fabrication of Structural Steel
Pipe.

Engineering Design & Drafting
GMMOS has in-house engineering, design and drafting division based in
Mumbai and Dubai which is well established.
The GMMOS division provides wide range of facilities customized to
specific client requirements and equipped with latest software’s and trained
manpower.
GMMOS provides pressure vessel design and drafting facilities from initial
concept to final design. The company is equipped with the latest CAD
Software enabling it to tailor client designs on line.
3) Onshore & Offshore Manpower Services
GMMOS supplies manpower and equipment services for onshore and
offshore to Dubai Petroleum Company for nearly three (3) decades. This
includes sandblasters, painters, welders, fabricators, pipe fitters, riggers,
carpenters, electricians, clerks, and warehouse and yard personnel for short
or long-term service contracts.

AutoCAD Drafting Capability
Detailed Engineering involving design calculations and shop fabrication drawings of static
mechanical equipments viz pressure vessels, process columns and reactors, skid mounted
packages etc. is our area of specialization.
A team of qualified and experienced engineers and draughtsman can produce quality design
documents that meet the requirements of international codes, specifications, standards and
design practices.
International design codes frequently used by us are ASME Section VIII Division 1,
Division 2 ASME Section I, PD 5500, ASME B 31.3, 31.4, 31.8, etc. Accreditation to
the following ASME stamps is available U, U2, R, S and PP.
Indian Design codes commonly used by us are IBR, ISO-R-831, SMPV, IS-875 (Pt3),
IS-1893, etc.
The specifications, standards and design practices frequently used by us are those of
ARAMCO,
SHELL,
BECHTEL,
TECHNIP,
FLUOR
DANIEL,
SNAMPROGETTI, BROWN, FOSTER WHEELER, CHIYODA, ETC.
The materials used are conforming to ASME Section II Parts A, B, C, D, ASTM, DIN,
JIS, AISI, IS, API, etc.

SPM REFURBISHMENT
Over the past 8 years, GMMOS has ventured into this specialized type of work and has
successfully completed dry docking and overhauling of fourteen (14) units, owned by some
of the prominent petroleum companies in the Persian Gulf. GMMOS has the capability of
disconnecting the buoy, utilizing diving services and towing the unit into GMMOS yard for
dry-docking and refurbishing. After completion, the unit can be towed back on location and
reconnected to sub-marine hoses and back in operation.
Below is a typical and brief scope of work carried out on the SPM units refurbished by
GMMOS.

Disconnection and inspection of the submarine hoses, anchor chains and
mooring chains.
Wet tow the SPM to GMMOS Jetty.
Dry dock SPM in Dubai Ship Docking Yard.
H.P. wash, clean, gas free and disassembly of piping and valves.
Disconnect turntable/arms and MPDU for overhauling.
Weld repair, re-bushing, and line boring of connecting pad eyes of arms and
MPDU.
Disassemble MPDU, clean, inspect and weld repair as necessary.
Reassemble with new bearing and seals.
Pressure test and rotation test as per manufacturer's specification.
Fabricate new product piping and pipe supports and install on pipe arm.
Install 3/4" thick bogie wheel track plate and modify bogie wheel assembly
to suit the new arrangement.
Overhaul watertight arrangement and valves.
Renew damaged skirt fender and deck fender.
Lining inside of hawser pipe.
Removal of existing rubber fender and install 8" diameter steel fender on
hull.
Grit blast and paint as per clients' specification.
Reassemble turntable/arms and MPDU.
Install bogie wheel, rope guard and navigational lights.
Pressure test as per manufacturers' specification.
Undock and carry out floatation test and rotation test as per clients'
specification.
Tow back to the field and install the buoy in position.
Connect submarine hoses, pressure test and handover to client.
