Amtgard is a life sized reenactment of your imagination.
Whether it’s a gallant knight, the witty rogue, or an elusive scout, Amtgard can tell your story.
Variety is the Spice of Combat
Constructing Fantasy – Safely
Amtgard simulates aspects of medieval and fantasy
combat using safe and inspected foam replicas. All
of our weapons follow a strict standered of safety to
ensure that good times and fun remain the goal of
the game.
Look the part Live the period
Color and imagination help create the atmosphere
of Amtgard. Our players create both period and
fantasy clothing to wear on the battle field. New to
sewing? Our experts will be the first on scene to
show you to make your dream look.
It takes all sorts to win a battle, that’s why Amtgard
has 13 different battle classes for our players to enjoy.
Each class has its own skills and abilities that give the
player a unique advantage on the field.
Examples Include:
Warrior: A skilled combatant who has dedicated his
life to the fight. A player who steps on as a warrior
can wield any weapon in the Amtgard rulebook.
Archer: Distance is sometimes a player’s greatest
advantage. Archers are allowed to Amtgard regulation
arrows to fight their opponents.
Healer: Sometimes everyone needs a little help.
Skilled in medicines and magic a person playing a
healer may bring fallen comrades back in the game.
A second chance to win the war.
Monk: A perfection of mind and body. Players
donning the monk persona cannot wear any armor
but are immune to many game effects such as mind
control and subduel.
Armour:
Sometimes you can’t parry every swing. Amtgard
uses a variety of authentic armour made from
materials similar to those used in the medieval
ages. Employing such designs as quilted,
chainmail, and ringmail. Come out try on suit or
learn how to make one yourself.
Swing and a Miss
Amtgard has a safe and simple combat system.
We recreate medieval battle by reenacting both
tournaments and battle games. Each scenario is
regulated by an approved referee who games the
game safe and fair.
