ThecontrolunitforyourChiliPad™is

TheChiliTechnology™coolingandwarmingsystemallowsadjustments
tobemadetoyourbeddingsurface.TheCubecoolsorwarmswaterto
yoursettemperatureandcirculatesitthroughthepad,generally
achievingtemperatureswellbelowacool55ºF(13ºC)andeasilyabove
averywarm110ºF(43ºC).TheCubemotor45dBandonlyuses170
Wattsofpower.UsetheChiliPad™Cubetosetthetemperatureofyour
bedinsteadofheatingorcoolingyourentirehousewhileyousleep.

1.KeeptheCubeawayfromareasthatmightbecomedamporwet,such
asanopenwindow.TheCubeshouldbeplacedonadry,firmfloor,ina
well‐ventilatedarea,freefromsurroundingfabric.Spacingofatleast24
inches(60cm)shouldbeleftonallsidesandtopoftheunit.Never
operatetheCubeunderabed.
2.Neverturnthecubeonbeforetheconnectionhosecomingfromthe
padhasbeenconnectedtotheCube.
3.TheCubemusthavewateraddedbeforeinitialuse.Youwillneedto
addadditionalwateroninitialset‐upasthemattressfillswithwater.

4.AvoidanybendsorkinksofthehosebetweentheCubeandthe
ChiliPad™

Thisproductmustbegrounded.Ifitshouldmalfunctionorbreakdown,groundingprovides
apathofleastresistanceforelectriccurrenttoreducetheriskofelectricshock.This
productisequippedwithacordhavinganequipment‐groundingconductoranda
groundingplug.Theplugmustbepluggedintoanappropriateoutletthatisproperly
installedandgroundedinaccordancewithalllocalcodesandordinances.

inariskofelectricshock.Checkwithaqualifiedelectricianorservicemanifyou

CompletelyunfoldtheChiliPad™andplaceitflatontopofyour
waterproofmattressprotectorwhichisontopofyourmattress(seeset
uporderabove).Thetailpipe(tubethatconnectsthepadtotheCube),
canbeattheheadorthefootofthebed.
PositiontheelasticstrapunderneaththemattresstokeeptheChiliPad™
inplace.
PlaceyourfittedsheetdirectlyovertheChiliPad™.
Foroptimalperformance,adenseblanketorcomfortershouldbeplaced
overthebodywhentheChiliPad™Cubeisinusetoprovidetheneeded
insulationtokeepthebeddingsurfacecoolorwarm.
ConnectingChiliPad™tubingtotheCube.



PlaceyourChiliTechnology™Cubeonahardflatsurfacenearyourbed.
Rememberthatspacingofatleast24inches(60cm)shouldbeleftonall
sidesandabovetheunit(thisiscriticaltooptimalperformanceofthe
system).
ConnectthetubingfromyourChiliPad™producttotheCubeasshown
below.Youmustheara“click”soundtoensureproperconnection.
Note:Ifyouneedtodisconnectthetubing,
pressthetubedisconnectbuttonlocatedon
thebottomoftheCube.Pleasenotethatafew
dropsofwatermayresultwhendisconnecting
thetubing.

Youwillneedtofillthewaterreservoirbeforethefirstuse.
ThewaterreservoirislocatedonthetopcenteroftheCube.
Unscrewandremovethecap,thenaddwateruntilthereservoirisfull(approximately
14oz/390ml).Note:HaveadditionalwaterreadytopourafterCubeisstartedtofillthe
tubinginthePad.
TurntheCubeonbytouchingtheON/OFFbutton.
TheCubewillbeepandthepumpwillbegintorun(Thisiswhereadditionalwaterwill
beneededasthewaterinthereservoirwillbepumpedintothePad).
AswaterstartscirculatingthroughthetubinginyourChiliproduct.Continueto
slowlyfillthereservoiruntilthewaterlevelreachesthebottomofthecapthreadlines
(thisamountwillvarydependingonthesizeofyourpad).
o Usecleanwater.Distilledwaterisrecommended.
o DonotimmersetheCubeinwatertofill.
o BecarefulnottospillwaterontheCube.
o RefillthewaterreservoirwhenthewaterlevelgetslowortheLowWaterlight
comeson.TheCubewillnotoperatewhenthewaterlevelinthereservoiris
tooloworempty.
TurningtheCubeOn.
PresstheON/OFFbuttonontheCubeorremote.TheCubewillbeepandthepumpwillbegin
torun.

UsingtheRemote.
RemotePairing:

PlugintheCube.
Touchthe“ON/OFF”buttonontheCubedisplaypanelandholdfor5seconds.The
Cubewillsoundalongbeepandthedisplaywillshowablinking“888”.
TurntheremotecontrolON.TheCubewillsoundashort“beep”anddisplaythe
actualtemperature.
SwitchingBetweenºFandºC:



TurnOFFtheremotecontrol.
TurnONtheCubeonthedisplaypanel.
Pressthe“ON/OFF”buttontheremotecontrolandholdfor2seconds.

PresstheON/OFFbuttonontheCubeorremote.TheCubewillbeep,thenthepump
andfanwillstoprunning.Thepumpand/orfanmaycontinuetorunforashorttime
oncetheunithasbeenturnedoff.Iftheunitisnottobeusedfora24‐hourperiod,
unplugfromthewall.
AdjustingtheTemperature.
TheCubemustbeturnedontoadjustthetemperature.TheCubecoolsorwarms
waterinindividualdegreeincrementsbetween55ºF(13ºC)and110ºF(43ºC).The
Cubewillcoolbelow55ºF(13ºC)onthecool“LO”settingandabove110ºF(43ºC)
onthecozy“HI”setting.Oncedesiredtemperatureisset,watercirculatesthrough
thepadgenerallyachievingyourdesiredtemperature.
Insomecasesthemaximumandminimumtemperatureswillnotbereacheddueto
someofthefollowingfactors:ambientairtemperature,humidity,individualbody
heat,insulation,allowingtheunitsufficientairflowandheatloadontopoftheChili
product.Formaximumperformance,itisrecommendedthateachindividualhavehis
orherownCube.
MaximumTemperatureChange.
Condensationmayoccuronthetubingand/orpadbasedonambientair
temperature,humidity,andindividualbodyheat.Toaddressthis–adjusttheair
temperatureoftheroomlowerand/ortheCubetemperaturehigher.Pleaseseethe

tocooltheelectronics,sosufficientfreshairisnecessaryforoptimalperformance
andlonglifeofyoursystem.

performanceandlongevity.TheCubecanneverbeoperatedunderthebed.
Frequentlyinspecttheconnectiontubestoinsuretherearenokinksorrestrictions
thatmaypreventfreeflowofthewaterthroughyoursystem.

Onetimepermonthadd¼cup(2oz/59ml)ofhydrogen
peroxideintothewaterreservoirtokeepthecirculation
systemclean.Procedure:Settemperatureto90ºF(32ºC).
Removethewaterreservoircapandaddthehydrogen
peroxide.LEAVETHEWATERRESERVOIRCAPOFF.The
hydrogenperoxidewillreactwithanydirtorotherforeign
particlestocleanthesystem.Oncethereactionhasstopped
(bubblesnolongerform)or20minuteshaspassed,replace
thecap,resettheCubetoyourdesiredsleeptemperature
andenjoy.

clothtocleantheoutsideoftheCubeandremotecontrol.
Useonlymildsoapifnecessary.Becarefulnottogetwater
insideoftheCube.
Usecanofcompressedair(orsimilar)toblowthroughthe
intake/exhaustventsonallsidesremovingdustanddebris.
NeversubmergeorgetwaterinsidetheCube.

Cube)withathickrubberbandorothermeanstominimize

addalittleOxyClean™orsimilarcleanerthatincludes
peroxideintheactiveingredients.

HowtoremovewaterfromtheChiliPad™
IftheCubewillnotbeinuseforanextendedperiod,youshouldpurgethe
waterfromboththeCubeandthePad.
 TodraintheChiliPad™youwouldusewaterdrainage
adapter.Toobtainoneofthesepleasecontact

 TodrainthewaterfromtheCube(afterunpluggingand
disconnectingthepad),takethecubetoasinkorbucket,
removethewaterreservoircapanddrainthewater(pour
awayfromthedisplaypanel,i.e.drainfromoppositesideofthe
connectorsinordertoavoidgettinganywateronthedisplay
panel).

DisconnecttheconnectiontubingfromtheCubeusingthe
disconnectbuttononthebottomontheCube(refertopage
12).
Drainanyremainingwaterfromtheunitbyremovingthe
waterreservoircap.GentlytilttheCubesothewaterdrains
throughthereservoiropening.Replacethecap.
WrappingthepowercordaroundtheCubemaydamagethe
cord.Pleasewrapthepowercordlooselyduringstorage.
Removethebatteriesfromtheremotecontrol.
StoretheCubeandremotecontrolinaclean,dryplace.
