UKOR is one of the world’s largest shipping
companies specialized in transpor ting
automobiles and other rolling cargo. We deliver
tailor-made ocean transportation and logistics services of the
highest quality to the global automotive industry. Our base is
the export of Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors from their plants
in Korea and around the world, but we also serve most of the
other global automotive leaders including BMW, Caterpillar,
Daimler Benz, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Mazda,
Mitsubishi, Scania, Suzuki, Volkswagen and Volvo.
EUKOR directly operates about 90 specialized vessels, and has
11-23 further ships on short-term arrangements at any given
point of time - annually transporting over 3.2 million cars to
220 different ports in 150 countries, utilizing a global network
of offices and agents.
Through continuous expansion of our route network,
minimization of transit times, utmost attention to cargohandling quality and a strong dedication to cost savings for
our customers, we strive towards delivering total customer

Having Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors as shareholders (20%)

Lines (40%)- founded in 1934 and pioneers in car carrier

UKOR’s global route network covers over 220 ports on five continents. Main trades are from Asia to Europe, Asia
to North America, Asia to South and Central America, Asia to the Pacific area, intra Asian routes, Europe to the
Middle East and East Africa and Europe to East Asia.
Our continuously expanding export services from Asia to Europe, with annual double digit growth rates over the past
several years, enable us to provide a global service network on an unprecedented scale. To this end, EUKOR is today the
number one Ro-Ro carrier in terms of the number of voyages between Europe and the Far East. In close cooperation with
our customers, we continuously expand our route network, add destinations and increase service frequency on all routes.

Fleet

UKOR directly operates over 90 modern Pure
Car Carriers (PCCs) and specialized Pure Car and
Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global service, with a
total combined lifting capacity of more than 350,000 car
equivalent units.
This makes EUKOR one of the world’s largest carriers in the
vehicle transportation industry. Our modern and flexible
fleet is designed to carry a wide variety of cargo ranging
from passenger cars and high and heavy vehicles to static
cargo. To cater to specific customer needs we have vessels
ranging from 1,200 to 7,200 unit capacity. The majority of
our large 6,000 – 65,000 unit capacities PCTCs are equipped
with 150 ton heavy-duty stern ramps, a maximum of 6.70
meter deck clearance and four hoistables decks that can be
lifted to accommodate cargo of any size, shape or weight.
Through an aggressive new building programme EUKOR
will ensure the addition of relevant tonnage to meet
customer demands for years to come. Several new vessels
are being delivered each year from renowned shipyards in
the Far East and Europe. These state-of-the-art vessels are
second to none when it comes to operational efficiency,
vessel safety and environmental performance.
Complementing our new building activities,
EUKOR upgrades and modernises existing vessels
through deck conversions and vessel elongation
in order to support customer demands and adapt
to changes in cargo mix and growing volumes.
Our skilled in-house engineers and naval architects work
in close cooperation with owners and world leading classsocieties to ensure that we always stay at the forefront
of technical development within the field of Marine
Technology.
Environment
W
e are just car-takers of our planet and its environment on behalf of future generations. Whilst in our cars, it is
imperative that no effort is spared in terms of preserving and protecting the environment from any irreparable
damage. It is therefore imperative that EUKOR can deliver services to its customers with minimal adverse effects on
the environment. EUKOR ensures that all owned or controlled vessels adhere to the highest possible environmental standards.
Ocean transportation is the most energy-efficient way of moving large volumes of cargo and fuel consumption per transported
unit is low. Nevertheless, the use of fossil fuels does constitute a risk of pollution and may over time contribute to global warming.
Thus, EUKOR continuously takes active measures to reduce any impact on the environment from our operations. In particular,
we pursue means to prevent marine and atmospheric pollution, to minimize waste products and to make the most economical
use of resources. Our dedicated team of Cargo and Vessel Quality professionals continuously work together with vessel owners,
shipbuilders and customers to ensure that emissions to air are kept to a minimum through reduction of fuel consumption and
use of low sulphur fuel. At every point in time, strong emphasis and financial commitment is given to using the cleanest marine
fuel commercially available.
Our ambition is to be the environmental forerunner of our industry and demonstrate leadership where appropriate. Therefore 5
ppm Oly bilge Separator which is required 15 ppm on the MARPOL, advanced Ballast Water Treatment System and eco-friendly
facilities are applied on the new building.
Also our special attention is given to safety measures and training to prevent maritime accidents with consequential oil effects.
EUKOR has been awarded the Environmental Management System Standard: ISO 14001;1996, KS S 14001;2001 certification for its
structured and committed work with environmental issues.
