DARLENE’S
From the Publisher...
It’s so easy to mistake something
you like doing with what God has
really planned for your life.
Most of our desires and hopes for
our lives are based on how much
money we can make, or how much
popularity we can gain from what
we do.
While there are many things that
can give us a good level of satisfaction and promise of a bright future,
it’s not necessarily, always, what
God has purposed for our lives.
How can we tell the difference?
“But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and
all these things shall be added unto
you.” Matthew 6:33 King (KJV)
There’s a big difference in someone who can’t wait to retire from
their job and a person who can’t
conceive ever retiring because they
love what they do so much. It’s a
passion. It’s energy giving and you
could never seem to do without it.
Finding one’s passion, one’s calling in life is one the most neglected
parts of our spiritual growth which
we seldom give its due diligence.
Often sidetracked by culture’s in-
fluence to earn more and chase the
American dream as they dictate,
we miss what God intended for
our lives. Now that’s not to say
that there’s something wrong with
wanting financial success and a
comfortable retirement. There’s
nothing wrong with seeing opportunities and grabbing it, but somewhere down the line we should
stop and asked God, “is this all you
have for me?”
What can I do for the kingdom that
will have a redemptived influence
on the lives of others, especially
the unsaved?
I submit to you that if you’ve
gained the whole world, please
don’t loss your soul. In the midst
of your climb to a successful life,
always remember that God’s will is
what’s most important. Remember
that the 70 or so years we get on
earth is no comparison to an eternity not spent with God.

CHURCHIN’
Is there a hole in your heart?
“Religion that God our father accepts as pure and
faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows
in their distress…” James 1:27
Did you know there are 397,122 children in the
U.S. foster care system? Children of all ages are
removed from their biological home due to abuse
& neglect. They enter the system confused, abandoned and desperate for love and security. Many of
these young lives have been changed for the better
by being in Bair Foundation foster homes where
loving foster parents pray with them and introduce
them to Christ.
One of our foster parents, who went on to adopt,
described his experience this way, “I didn’t know I
had an empty space in my heart until it was filled.
Now, I can’t imagine coming home to a quiet
house. Something very important would be missing…a family.” He and his wife filled the hole in
their hearts while filling their foster children’s lives
with love.
The Bair Foundation is a Christian-centered, nonprofit, organization founded in 1967 by Bill Bair as he followed God’s calling. Foster care is not for
everyone; but for those who feel lead by God to provide this meaningful, life-changing service, The
Bair Foundation will guide, direct, and support you through the process as you become a certified foster
parent. That support will continue throughout your time as a Bair foster parent.
Please consider this calling. There is such a great need. If you find that you have a love-sized hole in
your heart, call The Bair Foundation’s Dallas office at 972-957-0030. Step out in faith, and make the
call! Or visit the office at 4425 W. Airport Freeway, Suite 400, Irving, TX 75062
You’ll be glad you did and so will the foster children in our community.
“Speak Life Moment”
with First Lady & Co-Pastor Yolanda G. Butler
“A Life of Praise”
“And he answered and said unto
them, I tell you that, if these should
hold their peace, the stones would
immediately cry out.” Luke 19:40
As a sign of respect, Jesus’ disciples began to wave palm branches
and set out their coats for Jesus’
triumphant entry into the streets
proclaiming, “Blessed be the name
of Lord,” acknowledging Jesus as
the Messiah. The Pharisees, who
were skilled in the law, sarcastically
demanded Jesus tell his disciples
to “shut-up” and stop giving Him
praise as being the Messiah. Jesus boldly tells the Pharisees that
if they hold their “peace” then God
would cause the inanimate object
to cry out and praise Him. The
word “peace” in the Greek is “siopao” and means to become silent,
mute, hold one peace or become
dumb. As a First Lady and woman in ministry, I am not oblivious
to the fact that I come under the
microscope of and am scrutinized
by many. I have learned through
prayer and being surrounded
around some anointed God-fearing
4
mentors to not allow the opinions of
others to dictate the course of my
destiny. When you willingly yield
the definition of who you are into
the hands of another, you face the
dilemma of losing you. Your confidence becomes weak. Your selfworth becomes fragile. Your faith
becomes shaky. Your walk with
God slowly becomes dull affecting
your prayer life, your worship, your
praise, and your drive to live beyond
just existing.
The definition of who you are is
hidden within Christ. (Col. 3:3) For
it is in Him we live, we breathe, we
move and have our very existence.
(Acts 17:28) The life we live, we live
by faith of the son of God who loved
us and gave Himself for us. (Gal.
2:20) Everything we are, and can
hope to be is defined in the work
of Christ. This in and of itself is a
good reason to bless the Lord at all
times and let His praises continuously flow from your lips. The Pharisees represent those critics in your
life who will do whatever they can
to stifle your walk with God. Their
goal is to divert your attention away
from God and convince you that
your devotion to Him is worthless.
They endeavor to get you to hold
your praise, hold your confession,
hold your testimony, hold your deliverance and become silent and
dumb. However, on the contrary,
it is the life and love of Christ that
is on the inside of you that springs
up within you giving you a reason to
live, to love, to worship, to praise, to
pray and to serve God. Paul said it
is “God working in you, giving you
the desire and the power to do what
pleases him.” (Philip. 2:13)
“The LEADER’S EDGE” by dr. michael bell
I’m one of those persons for
whom life is never boring, never
ho-hum! For me, life is always
“TA-DA!” Having said that, it’s
not out of the ordinary for people to get a little bored with their
life routines from time to time,
and feeling ho-hum about your
Church is no exception. Feeling
bored with your church is nothing
to be ashamed of and it’s nothing
you need to stress out about!
Boredom usually occurs when
our personal preferences, wants
and desires are not being met.
However, personal preferences,
wants and desires aren’t why
we go to Church. We faithfully
show up at the Lord’s house and
“serve” because that is where we
can go to hear the Word of God
preached and taught; it’s also
where we can experience the

Pastor M. Jackson, Senior Pastor
featuring
Pastor Spencer Thomas, Sr.
He is a chosen servant
of God sent
to preach
the
Gospel to the
nations.
Called and
anointed at
the tender
age of 11
years old, he has been steadfast
and unmovable in his dedication
to ministry. Pastor Spencer Thomas, Sr. received Christ under the
ministry of Pastor/ Prophet W. L.
Hopkins Sr. in the city of Boynton Beach, Florida. He finished
High School, going on into full
time ministry at the gentle age
of 17 years old. Since then, God
has been faithfully opening doors
across the U.S. and in several foreign Coasts. Pastor Spencer was
directed of the Lord in 1991 to
begin a church ministry in Panama City, Florida. From this work
8 churches blossomed spanning 4
states. God is a Great God!!
In the year 1998, God introduced
in the life of Pastor Spencer
Thomas, Sr., a Great man of God
who would take him and groom
the work to Godly Excellence.
This man was the late Apostle
Timothy L. Baylor Sr. The Lord
elevated Pastor Spencer to the office Apostle/ Prophet during this
time. Apostle Spencer now serves
as the General Overseer of the
Greater Praise and
Deliverance Evangelistic Houses
of Prayer, Inc., and is a supporting

which is seen in the many tent crusades carried out across the United
States. Above all of these accomplishments, his greatest ministry is
that of his family.

CHURCHIN’
The Gospel Corner with Proclaimer of the Word...
Rev. J.R. Brumfield
A FATHER’S WALK
Genesis 5:18-24
There is a lesson that we can learn from the
origin of Father’s Day. In 1910, there was a
lady named Senora Dodd in Spokane, Washington. While sitting in a church service on
Mother’s Day, she thought about her wonderful father. Senora’s dad was a civil war hero
and he raised her along with her sisters and
brothers. This was a huge undertaking on behalf of her father but he had to man up to this
responsibility because Senora’s mother had
died early in her childhood. Sometimes we as
men have to man up and do what is necessary
for our families. Senora felt that since we had
a day to honor Mothers, then it would also be
a good idea to have a day to honor fathers in
America. As time progressed, Senora visited
local churches, the YMCA, stores, and many
government officials to plead her case for a
day to honor fathers. On June 19, 1910, the
State of Washington celebrated the first Father’s Day and this event eventually became
a National Day for Fathers on the 3rd Sunday
in June. The lesson that we can learn from
Senora Dodd is that we should take time to
honor our fathers because this is right in the
eyesight of the Lord.
they were and when they begat a son. Also,
we are informed of their total years that they
lived on this earth. Next, we are informed
that they all died. When we look at Genesis
5:18, we see that Jarod begat Enoch after Jarod had lived 162 years on this earth. Later,
we find that Jerod died but when we get to
Enoch things change. Now it is noteworthy to
state that all of these men lived a long time
and they died. Some theologians state that
the reason why these patriarchs lived a long
time is because the environment had not yet
become contaminated. The air was fresher
but some theologians state that God allowed
it to be so that they could replenish the earth.
These patriarchs had an important job in replenishing the earth and carrying the legacy
of the creation history. They needed to pass

In this passage, we read of Enoch walking with

years. After Enoch entered into a relationship
with God, the bible tells us that he continued
for another three hundred years in walking
with God. The bible informs us that Enoch
begat sons and daughters. He did his job in
replenishing the earth. The bible also tells us
that all the days of Enoch was three hundred
and sixty five years. The lesson that we learn
from Enoch is that we should walk with God in
good times or bad times. We should continue
to walk with the Lord because he can carry us
until the end. When one walks with God, the
Lord can tremendously bless their life. As a
minister of the gospel, I admonish every person to come to the knowledge of the true and
living God. If you want to continue with God,
you will make it your business to know Jesus.
According to Romans 10:9, “if thou shall confess with thy mouth and believe in thy heart,
thou shall be saved.” If you practice a life of
walking with the Lord, you will find that every
day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Enoch can tell us that after he walked with
God around the initial age of sixty-five that
God gave him another three hundred years of
continued walking and talking with Him.
CROWNED BY GOD, Genesis 5:24
After we learn of Enoch walking with God
around the age of sixty-five, then God allowed him to know Him a little while longer.
The more you walk and talk with anybody, you
will learn more about them. Enoch developed
such a close relationship with God that God
decided that Enoch should not see death. The
bible tells us that God took him. The interesting aspect of the lifespan of Enoch and of the
patriarchs that preceded him was that he was
on the earth less time. Enoch’s predecessors
had a longer span of lifetime as opposed to
Enoch. However, Enoch’s son was the one that
lived the longest. We move from the shortest
living patriarch to the longest living patriarch
in the span of one generation. For we know
that our God can bless people however he
wants to bless them. Enoch was taken so that
he would not see death but the other patriarchs died. There is a blessing in walking with
the Lord.
It is truly a happy state when Christians that
died in the Lord and are released of the burdens of this life. I am sure that Enoch became
disappointed with the troubles and trials of
this life but he continued with God. In closing,
if we keep our eyes on the star post in glory,
we too can see Jesus someday. Until then,
keep on striving and keep on believing that
the Lord is able to keep you from stumbling
and present you faultless. It will be attributed
to every believer to be counted faithful if we
continue with the Lord.
“Relevant Intervention”
Praise God Beloved, I greet you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. I have a very serious question. Do we really know
what Salvation is? Salvation is not a technical theological
term per se. It means deliverance from any kind of evil,
whether it is tangible or spiritual, that is …does it affect
us physically or is it a spiritual attack. Salvation delivers us Penned by, Pastor
Samuel Whitener
from things that are temporal or present day reality. As well
as things that have eschatological implications or rather things that is eternal.
Now the title savior simply means one who brings salvation.
Soteriology or the doctrine of salvation is made up by eight essential components. Propitiation means to appease or satisfy someone to make amends for a
wrong that has been committed. It speaks of means by which justice is satisfied.
God’s wrath is averted and mercy can be shown on the basis of an acceptable
sacrifice. Propitiation is mentioned in scripture three times, Romans 3:25, 1
John 2:2, 1 John 4:10. Christ work was sufficient for the whole world, but it can
only be accessed through faith by the believer. The love God showed us despite
our inability to love him, in that he would send his son to the cross to die that we
might live.
Reconciliation means to be brought from enmity to friendship, to bring peace
where there was once hatred and strife. God is not reconciled to men but men
to God. The need for reconciliation was initiated when Adam DISOBEYED IN THE
GARDEN BY EATING THE FRUIT Genesis 3:23-24 after the expulsion from the garden, God because of His love and desire for man to be reconciled back to Him.
God accomplished this by doing what man could not do, by redeeming man from
sin and bringing him up to his righteous standard by the intermediary work of
Christ.
Justification means to be pronounced righteous. It is the legal and judicial act
where God declares the believer righteous in Jesus Christ. It is not only the taking away of the believer guilt, but also the imputation of Christ righteousness
in its place. The believer is not righteous in himself only in Christ. There are two
distinct aspects of justification; forgiveness, remission or the taking away of the
believer’s sin. The imputation of the righteousness of Jesus Christ is the other
portion of justification. We must always remember justification is not in consideration of any works we have done but solely through faith in the redeemer’s
blood.
Redemption means to buy back or purchase something that originally belonged
to the purchaser. Concerning salvation it refers to the death of Jesus Christ as
he buys back the sinner using his precious blood as the payment, to set free by
paying a price. Redemption is the foundation of salvation; before God could provide eternal salvation to anyone he had to pay the ransom required to release the
sinner from his sins. God could not decree salvation unto man, he had to buy it.

How Fathers Can Make a Difference
by Nellie Shani
in the Life of a Child
PERFECT HEALTH GOD’S WAY
Get Rid of
Hypertension
Social workers who work with prisoners
have given the shocking statistic that one out
of every ten people that end up in prison grew
up in a home with no dad.
What is it that makes a child who grows up in
a home where there was a father figure cope
better with the stresses of life? Or do they?
It is a proved fact that dads can and do make
a difference in the lives of their children.
Children who have a father that is actively
involved in their lives seem to grow up more
assured and self-confident than children who
have not had the influence of a father.
of their children. They need to step up to the
role of being the guide in their child’s life.
What are some things that fathers can do to
make a difference in the lives of their children? Here are a few suggestions.
When a father is involved in the life of his
children, he provides a much needed role
model especially for his sons who will themselves one day be the heads of their household.
One, give your child permission to make mistakes. If she has to do things perfectly, she’ll
never take the risks necessary to discover and
develop her gift.
A father is supposed to be a symbol of stability and security. It is true that there are
children who would have been much better
off without the kind of influence that they
got from their alcoholic, abusive and drugpushing fathers. However, a hard working,
responsible and faithful father goes a long
way in producing children who are also hard
working, responsible and faithful. We reproduce after our own kind.
Two, ask questions. Help your child open up
to the wonders of the world by asking intriguing questions: Why is the sky blue? Find the
answers together.
Three, have high expectations but make them
realistic. Finally, let your child know that you
love them and communicate it in a way that
they understand!
Children who do well in school often have
a father that is encouraging them and setting
a good example. Fathers need to realize that
they play a very important role in the lives

Hypertension is a disease that involves the
heart and the arteries
that carry fresh blood
to every part of the
body. It’s a major kill- DENISE FORD
er that causes stroke,heart disease,kidney
disease and other problems. Hypertension
occurs when cholesterol plaques and deposits in the walls of the arterioles harden
and constrict these blood vessels, compressing the blood into a smaller volume
and thereby raising its pressure.
How many people do you know who have
cured high blood pressure by taking drug
medications? Probably none. That’s because high blood pressure medications,
and the medicine prescribed isn’t designed
to cure hypertension. In fact, the whole issue of hypertension is a perfect example
of the major shortcoming of modern Western medicine. Modern medicine focuses
on symptom management, but does little
to address the Causes of most diseases,
including high blood pressure.
High blood pressure is a problem associated with lifestyle. It is virtually unknown
in undeveloped areas of the world where
people are living on their traditional diets.
For example, high blood pressure is not
found in Africa among natives living a traditional lifestyle, even among the elderly. In
contrast, a high percentage of Americans
have this problem--about 60 million.
Hypertension can be reversed only if
we take control of our lives and change
our eating and living habits. Exercise
more,watch your weight, avoid alcohol,
tobacco, fried foods, sugar and carbonated beverages. The body can heal itself. It
takes dedication and commitment in order
to succeed. Natural Therapy-Blood purification, Lower Bowel Therapy and Nervine
Therapy will help blood pressure. Consuming celery, parsley, cucumber and Thai Go
