Can Cold Water Clean Dishes?
This is for all the germ conscious folks that worry about using cold water to clean.
John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area
of Saskatchewan After spending a great evening chatting the night away, The
next morning John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.
However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his
grandfather asking, ’Are these plates clean?' His grandfather replied, 'They're
as clean as cold water can get em. Just you go ahead and finish your meal,
Sonny!’ For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned
about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that
looked like dried egg and asked, ’Are you sure these plates are clean?' Without looking up the old man said, ’I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as
clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!' Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby
town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass. John yelled and said, 'Grandfather, your dog won't let me get
to my car'. Without diverting his attention from the football game he was
watching on TV, the old man shouted. 'Coldwater, go lay down now, yah hear
me!'

NEW SUPREME MASTER
Members of the Supreme Board of Directors were received in an audience at the Vatican on Friday, October 3rd by Pope Benedict
XVI. At the Board of Directors meeting held in the Vatican, Sir
Knight Lawrence Costanzo was elected as the Supreme Master of the
Fourth Degree. He was the Supreme Warden and was State Deputy
of Arizona 1999-2001.
DID YOU KNOW
A Fourth Degree Knight is a member of
a group of men dedicated to promoting
patriotism, illuminated by their Catholic
faith. It is an honor to wear the regalia
and participate in color corps and honor
guards at special events... the honor to
serve at the wakes and funerals of fellow
Brother Knights as a special way of paying homage to deceased members and
members wives... the opportunity to
share in patriotic programs... and most of
all, you will be a member of he Order's
"patriotic arm" and its most visible embodiment.. It is a position of prestige and
something for which all Knights should
strive. Ideally, every 3rd Degree Knight
should become a Fourth Degree Knight...
Go For The Fourth... Next 4th Degree
Exemplification will be held February
21, 2009 in Oak Harbor.
EXEMPLIFICATION HELPERS
It is recognized that January 20th is an
eventful day.. the Right For Life
March... Presidential Inauguration and
the 4th Degree Meeting which will be
one of the more important meetings of
the year. Mainly to discuss and obtain
volunteers for the various assignments
required for the exemplification being
held February 21st. There are "jobs" for
about 19 members, which will be discussed at the regular meeting on January
20th.
SNOW MEETING
For those Sir Knights who were unable
to attend the snow meeting of December
16th... don't fret. You didn't miss a
thing. There was no quorum... 5 members gathered outside the hall....no meeting... ALL Sir Knights are encouraged to
make a "special effort" to attend the
meeting for January. Someone in attendance will be the lucky winner for 2010
