GLOSSARY
harro
"Herro" or "harro" is a pun on how Asian people will occasionally say "Hello." In Japanese,
there isn't really an LLL sound, and so when Japanese people need to say a foreign word
with an LLL sound in it, they substitute an RRR sound for the LLL sound. This is because
the 2 sounds are made by putting the tongue in almost the exact same position inside
your mouth. Similarly, little children who have lisps often have difficulty pronouncing
both their Rs and their Ls.
cray cray
Meaning really crazy
win
A word with a very broad syntax of usage, generally indicating that something is great.
def totes
Literally meaning definitely totally. It's used as an agreement and/or for emphasis. I know
it's redundant, that's the point.
♥
Makes a heart in html. usually used on myspace, livejournal, or other blogs of that sort.
sometimes, (to be creative) kids will say "and hearts semi colon", but it is the same thing.
sometimes it is used to express love for someone, and sometimes it seems that the person
is angry, but when the heart is added to the end of the sentence it becomes loving.
lms
One meaning for “lms" is an acronym for “like my status,” which can be used in one of the
many recent Facebook trends where someone will post something (specified in the status)
to your wall if you like their status.
fail
Either an interjection used when one disapproves of something, or a verb meaning
approximately the same thing as the slang form of suck.
kgo
Slang or online term for okay, go. Used to quickly agree and tell someone to commence.
v
Very.
tbh
To be honest.
random
The latest buzzword used amongst mindless teenagers as a way of showing just so
utterly irreverent their predictable sense of humor is. Particularly dominant among
English teens and University students, the word "random" or the act of being "random" is
a desperate plea for others to recognize how totally against the grain of the norm you
are and that you're really crazy and out there. Trouble is, being "random" is predictable,
boring, moronic and extremely sad indeed.
like4like
When you make the proposition to like* something on a friends profile in return for them
liking something of your own. A great way to enhance mutual popularity.
selfie
A picture taken of yourself that is planned to be uploaded to Facebook, Myspace or any
other sort of social networking website. You can usually see the person's arm holding out
the camera in which case you can clearly tell that this person does not have any friends
to take pictures of them so they resort to Myspace to find internet friends and post
pictures of themselves, taken by themselves. A selfie is usually accompanied by a kissy
face or the individual looking in a direction that is not towards the camera.
probs
A shorter version of probably.
photobomb
To drop in a photo unexpectedly...to hop in a picture right before it is taken.
onesie
The old/new pyjamas that love to feature in ‘night-at-home’ selfies.
yolo
Abbreviation for: you only live once. The dumbass's excuse for something stupid that they
did. Also one of the most annoying abbreviations ever.
omgosh
Similar to OMG (Oh my god!), but ending with a fashionable "osh" to imply "Oh my gosh!",
which isn't "Oh my god!", which is important, if importance was the issue. Which it's not.
It's just short for "Oh my gosh!".
