During a trip to Southern Israel
aring for over 120 orphaned and
underprivileged boys ages 7-18
is not easy. Each child requires
plenty of warmth and acceptance,
balanced with appropriate boundaries.
They need a strong classroom education,
as well as the tools necessary for a life of
accomplishment and success. Providing
this for each child is an incredible
challenge.
Yet with your generous concern and
support, it all becomes possible.

What’s
New
The building of new family units to accommodate
another 30 children has been completed and the
couples have been hired to serve as their houseparents
The building of and funding for the revolutionizing
rooftop Sport Center has been completed. The
vast majority of the necessary money was donated
by a generous supporter who prefers to remain
anonymous
Nine Bar Mitzvahs were celebrated during
this past year
Nine recent graduates now serve in the
Israeli army
During a lesson in the
Horowitz Graphics Program
The generous Rochlin Foundation provided a
generous grant towards the music program
Bill Forster’s “Chickens for Shabbat” has helped
enhanced the weekly Shabbat experience for the
children throughout the year
The Bildirici brothers Nesim, David, Charlie, Joseph
and Morris dedicated a new wing in memory of
their grandparents Gabriel & Sara Bildirici

The day marking one year since the tragic passing
of 27 year old Nethanel Hardy from France,
was the naming of The Nethanel Hardy family unit
(mishpachtone). He was loved and cherished by all

afternoon in the Zion Orphanage. Besides distributing
cash to all 120 boys, he provided significant pilot
funding towards the new Sports Center.
