SCONRAIL was commissioned by various carbuilders, manufacturers of locomotives and special maintenance machines to issue the EC Certification in accordance
with the Technical Specification of Interoperability relating to the subsystem ”rolling
stock - noise“ of the trans-European conventional rail system TSI CR NOISE.
The respective tests on a TSI-conform test track were subcontracted to the
accredited test laboratory of PROSE Ltd. (www.prose.ch). The assessment of the
test reports and the technical documentation has been performed in accordance
with Module SB of the TSI CR NOISE as well as with Module SD if required.
SCONRAIL disposes of the technical experts and access to the test laboratory with
the respective know how and facilities to perform the certification efficiently and
quickly. The early involvement of the certification body by the customer contributed
to the reduction of the cycle time to achieve the respective certificate to the minimum; time consuming iterations have been avoided.
