Under the same family ownership since 1934,
Jamaica Bearings Company (JBC) serves as the
foundation of the Jamaica Bearings Group.
Originally a one-man operation, owned and
operated by Frank Negri, we sold bearings, rivets,
king pins and piston rings out of a garage on
87th Avenue in Jamaica, NY. Frank’s ambition
was to become an industry leader by providing
first-class service to niche industries.
As we developed our specialization in the aircraft,
marine, rail and export industries, sales offices
were added throughout the United States, Europe

our first location in Jamaica, NY
and Asia. In 1996, we acquired Bobker Bearings’
Aerospace division. In 1998, Jamaica Miniature Bearings (JMB East) was founded
and shortly thereafter we acquired OEMWest (now JMBWest).This division has been
renamed the Precision Products Division,
with headquarters in Camarillo, CA.
In 1999, we partnered with Cambridge
Manufacturing as their exclusive
distributor of FAA/PMA parts and, in 2004,
we acquired Eriks Aerospace (now Jamaica
Aerospace Co.), adding seals, gaskets,
filters,“o” rings and a distinctive kitting
program to the Jamaica offering.
In 2006, the Jamaica Bearings Group was established: Jamaica Bearings Co.,
Jamaica Aerospace Co., and Precision Products Division (formerly JMB).
Today, the Jamaica Bearings Group stands as the preeminent supplier of
bearings and related products to the aerospace, the military and a host of major
industries around the world. Each division maintains a separate area of expertise.
