Diva Anita Rywalska-Sosnowska – Soprano
Anita Rywalska-Sosnowska graduated from the Artistic Education
Department of the University of Warmia and Mazury in the year 2000.
During the years 1995-2000, as a member of the Horpyna music group,
she took part in many artistic events, like The Opole Festival, The Sopot
Festival, the Bogusław Kaczyński benefit in the Cracow “STU” Theatre.
She also recorded two CDs with the group.
She studied solo singing with prof. W. Maliszewska in the Stanisław
Moniuszko Music Academy
in Gdańsk. In 2006 she graduated with
distinctions.
Her repertoire includes songs of F. Schubert, R. Schumann, F. Poulenc, N. Boulanger,
L. Boulanger, oratorio-cantata pieces, opera and operetta parts, e.g Santuzza in Cavalleria
Rusticana
by P. Mascagni, the title role in Carmen by G. Bizet, Catherine in The Comedy
of the Dumb Wife
by Tadeusz Kassern (world premiere and a CD and DVD
recordings), Princess Marie in The Bird Seller by Carl Zeller, etc. The artist also performs the
pieces of Gedymin Grubba, the Gdańsk composer, which have been recorded for the radio,
TV, and on CDs.
The singer has taken part in numerous vocal competitions run by outstanding artists, solo
singing pedagogues such as Paul Esswood, Salvator Fisichella, Ryszard Karczykowski, Katia
Ricciarelli, Jadwiga Rappe, Włodzimierz Zalewski. Apart from that, she has trained her
singing with Alicja Legieć-Matosiuk in Poland and with Raissa Tschepcherenko in Germany.
She co-operates with philharmonics and theatres in Poland, and also with the pianist Waldemar
Malicki in numerous concerts for: Filharmonia Dowcipu (eng. The Philharmonic Wit) conducted
by B. Chmielarz, Promotion of Art Gabriel Fauré Foundation chaired by Gedymin Grubba, and Teatr
Otwarty (eng. The Open Theatre run by Dariusz Wójcik.
In 2009 the artist has started to co-operate with Opera in Szczecin, where she made her debut as
Helena in operetta Beautiful Helena by J. Offenbach. Then she created Contessa in opera Marriage
of Figaro
by W. A. Mozart, which was conducted by Piotr Deptuch. The artist also performed the
role Sylva Varescu in operetta Gypsy Princess by E. Kalman and conducted by Warcisław Kunc.
In 2010 Anita Rywalska-Sosnowska recorded her solo CD Hotel Aria, where she sang opera and
operetta arias and songs. The singer took part on the Opole Festival and she sang the songs from the
famous Polish cabaret Kabaret Starszych Panów ( eng. Elderly Gentlemen's Cabaret), for example
Przeklnij mnie (eng. Execrate Me). The Artist co-operate with Filharmonia Dowcipu and takes part
with cyclical TVP2 programme titled Laskowik&Malicki Show.
In 2011 Filharmonia Dowcipu
recorded CD Muzyka bez granic (eng.Music without borders)
and DVD Live in Warsaw, which received Gold Disc status.
In 2012 Filharmonia Dowcipu was invited to take part in TVP1 programmes Jaka to melodia
