Instructional Guide
This package includes ten (10) LINGO game cards, a one page template of game pieces, a five page set of
question cards, and a three page master question list with a one page answer sheet provided.
In preparation for the game, the instructor should:
a.
make copies of any additional game cards needed if more than 10 students will participate.
b.
make copies of game piece template and then cut enough game pieces for each student to have
appropriate amount.
c.
cut question card sheets into individual question cards so that the order of the questions can be
easily shuffled.
The students should each be issued a game card and an appropriate amount of game pieces. The instructor
should shuffle the question cards and then ask the participants one question at a time allowing sufficient time
for students to review their game card for the correct answer. Students who find the correct answer should be
instructed to cover their answer with a game piece. The instructor should not provide the students with the
correct answer at this time. The questions should continue until one or more students have achieved a typical
BINGO by covering their game cards appropriately. When one or more students have shouted LINGO, the
instructor should stop asking questions and have the student(s) announce their winning answers. As each answer is announced, the instructor should review the question with the whole class.
This game serves as a fun and interesting way to review common TTY related information found in the Communications Impaired Callers Lesson Plan. Instructors are encourage to provide students incentives or prizes
such as candy or great writing pens.
