the Lough Oughter network of waterways.
Clogh Oughter Castle, was once part of
the historic Kingdom of Breifne, the castle
was once under the control of the Gaelic
clans before falling into the hands of the
Anglo-Norman William Gorm de Lacy.

Drumlane Abbey, Church & Round

at Drumlane Abbey, located just outside
the village of Milltown, and overlooking
picturesque Garfinny Lough. Founded by
St. Colmcille in the 6th century. With fine
stonework and a 10 metre high round
tower – the highest in the diocese of
Kilmore.
