ABOUT THE CENTER
MISSION STATEMENT
The Northwest Arkansas Center for Equality is a grassroots community and
advocacy organization working to achieve full equality while creating an
environment that embraces, promotes and supports the lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally community of Northwest Arkansas.
Since the founding of our organization in 2006, we’ve experienced
substantial growth, reaching benchmarks unimaginable by the original
founders and donors of our organization. In 2009, we moved to our
current offices in downtown Fayetteville, and in 2010 we established
guidelines to ensure the sustainability of our programs and the
visibility of our major events.
VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to see a time when all have the right to be themselves
regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, and without fear of
harassment or discrimination. We dream and work for full legal rights and
social equality in our local communities and beyond.
Enhancing our programs and events allowed our 2011-2014 donor
and fundraising goals to exceed our expectations. Through these gifts
to the center we have been able to accomplish so much.
Established in 2006 and based in Fayetteville, the NWA Center for equality
is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community center serving Benton and Washington
Counties. The Center serves as an advocacy, education and service
organization, and equal rights resource center for lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community of Northwest Arkansas.
For 2015 we are planning on taking our programs to new levels and
we are already gearing up for a number of fabulous events. Our
events have grown sizably over the past five years, allowing us to
share the important role the NWA Center for Equality plays in the
community, and to thank those who have contributed to our
organization.
Our sponsorship levels provide many opportunities for your
organization to be seen as a leader in equality. It is the Center’s hope
that our partnership will be a value to you, as investing in equality is
of value to us all.
The Center directs their energy and resources to the areas of community
programming, local and national advocacy efforts and a variety of exciting
large and small scale events targeted to the LGBTQ and straight ally
population.
Additionally, the NWA Center for Equality serves as the local contact for
the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and works closely with other LGTBQ
organizations across the state.

NWA PRIDE
This is a unique five day pride celebration of LGBTQ community in Northwest Arkansas. Bringing together business and organizations, the NWA Center for
Equality’s NWA Pride, formally “All Out June” has grown astoundingly since its debut in 2009, now attracting 4,000 participants to partake in more than five
events. These events include happy hours, sporting activities, brunches at local restaurants, picnics and parties and the 9th annual NWA Pride Parade and
Festival.
The continuous advertising exposure during All Out June allows your business opportunities to reinforce your brand to the loyal LGBTQ community and
their allies, and to support the socially progressive attitude of Northwest Arkansas
NINTH ANNUAL NORTHWEST ARKANSAS EQUALITY BALL
The Northwest Arkansas Equality Ball, held Friday November 13th, is our primary fundraiser for the year and continues to grow annually. We dedicate this
event to recognizing businesses, civic leaders and individuals who have taken great strides to promote equality in Northwest Arkansas. Previous winners of
our Foundation Awards have been Walmart and Eventures and previous entertainment, Chely Wright, Country Western Start and Civil Rights Activist. Join
Celebrity Host Chris Goddard and celebrate the victories we’ve shared over the past year.
