OUR STORY
Some 20 years ago Margery Gaffin, a special education teacher, noticed that
people were walking around either with backpacks hanging off one shoulder or
were leaning and twisting from the weight of an un-ergonomic shoulder bag.
Added to this observation was her frustration at being unable to find a bag that
was in any way comfortable following back surgery...and boy had she shopped!
Now, it just so happened that Margery was married to Irwin, one of the foremost leather craftsmen in the USA, who for over 25 years had been designing
high quality leather bags for celebrities and multi-million dollar companies.
So Margery suggested to Irwin that they should create the most comfortable
bag in the world...A bag that would not give you neck-aches or a sore lower
back. A bag that would be of the highest quality in terms of craftsmanship and
material.
And so the Healthy Back Bag ® was bor n; doctors and chiropractors were
involved to determine just how the ergonomics of the bag could best reflect the
requirements of the spine.
Different sizes were created to cater to different body types and the incredibly
intelligent inter nal and exter nal pocket configuration that both spreads weight
around the bag and organizes your life, was honed and refined.
The Healthy Back Bag is now an established brand in over 25 countries worldwide and its popularity is spreading every day. There are hundreds of different
variations, be that in color, fabric, size or design. AmeriBag not only is the home
