Zaih’s Cafe – Michael Robinson
Michael has an outstanding reputation in culinary
excellence. During his time as head chef at award
winning Margan Restaurant; Michael focused his food
style on working closely with local farmers, producers
and estate grown produce.
Looking for a green change, Michale and his wife
Alana created Zaih’s Cafe in the heart of Lovedale,
Hunter Valley.
The concept behind the cafe is simple, “We want to offer
customers the best coffee, cafe/bistro style breakfast
and lunch items, which have a focus on quality and
consistency, at an affordable price.”
We offer a great variety of food to cover all the
customers needs. It may be a Prosciutto, buffalo
mozzarella, tomato and basil toasted panini you’re
looking for, or something a little more substantial
like market fish with summer vegetable risotto and
lemon verbena, or Steak frites with mushroom and
chimichurri.
Zaih’s cafe is currently working in partnership with The
Farmers Table to launch the Lovedale Fresh Growers
Market. Bringing back to Lovedale the availability of
fresh, locally grown produce. The market will be every
Saturday and Sunday from 8am-1pm. We feel this will
be a great way for the public to come and grab a coffee
and breakfast, grab your fresh herbs, salads, fruits and
vegetables, and meet your local farmers. We hope to
launch this in March.

A WELCOMING COMMUNITY SPIRIT
Muse Kitchen
EVERYDAY LIFE MOVES TO A MORE RELAXED RHYTHM
Local. It’s a word that pops up often in the Hunter Valley –
in its menus, its produce, and its sense of community.
Off the land, into the kitchen, and onto the plate. It’s the kind
of honest ethos that makes people who live here feel a heightened
connection to place and a rare and welcoming camaraderie that
lifts the spirit.
Proximity to Sydney has made the Hunter Valley one of the most
visited regions in Australia. But rapid new expressway connections
have given it new focus as a place to live year-round.
Look around. Rolling hillsides give you space to breathe; café culture
is flourishing; and talented young chefs are creating a thriving and
diverse foodie scene.
Like a piece of heaven that’s fallen to earth, the area is overflowing
with farmers’ markets, chic day spas, fine restaurants, elegant galleries,
quaint country towns, antique shops in historic villages
and beautiful scenery.
Follow the aroma of espresso to sunny outdoor tables with mountains
as a backdrop. Give in to temptation at the chocolate festivals. Roll
out a picnic rug and soak up the creative vibes at Jazz in the Wines,
or a superstar concert under the stars.
And there’s plenty going on inside as well. Perusing the quaint village
stores or imbibing the views from the verandah of your beautiful
Radford Park home.
Living local lets you live life large.

LIVING AN INSPIRED LIFE
Branxton Village
VILLAGE LIVING IN THE HUNTER’S HEART
Just down the hill from Radford Park is Branxton, a beautiful little corner
of the valley with a quaint village vibe.
This small town sits at the heart of the Hunter on the New England Highway and has retained
its historical charm with fine colonial architecture, friendly locals and an easy pace.
Low-key vineyards are dotted across the rolling hillsides, the local Branxton golf
course sits just on town limits, and there’s even a railway station nearby.
Lying between Maitland, Singleton and Cessnock, it is moments from the nearby
Pokolbin culinary hub. For location independent professionals, executives and families,
Radford Park is the perfect location with much to offer diverse lifestyles.

It won’t take long to get to know
your friendly locals. Everyone is
quick to smile. It’s that kind of
place. Don’t be surprised if a wave
“hello” turns into an hour-long chat.
The pace is definitely more relaxed
here. It’s where kids can be kids,
families flourish, and life moves in
a more natural rhythm. Handy for
parents, Branxton residents have
access to several local schools.
For a fabulous lunch, head to awardwinning Muse Kitchen in nearby
Pokolbin. Dine outside on casual
bistro fare that is unpretentious,
uncomplicated and presented without
fuss, inspired by seasonal produce
grown up the road.
Radford Park’s winding roads
and verges are already beautifully
landscaped, but when you want
to add that extra flush of green,
Branxton nursery will get your garden
lawns and flower beds beautiful in no
time.
Everyday essentials
close to home
For your daily essentials, it’s nice to
know you can source everything just
down the road. The local Branxton
butcher supplies fresh cuts just the
way you like it, the IGA has pantry
staples covered, and the baker is
stocked with fresh bread.
If you can’t find what you are
looking for in Branxton, major
national retailers can be found only
20 minutes away in Rutherford
or Singleton.
Within a seven-minute drive is the
neighbouring village of Huntlee that
will soon boast a brand new retail
town centre and Coles supermarket.
For peace of mind, the John Hunter
Hospital, one of Australia’s leading
hospitals, is just 30 minutes from

“The land size is perfect. We wanted something large but
not too big to handle. And, to be honest, we could never
afford anything near that land size in Sydney. It’s quiet,
and you can breathe. Houses aren’t butted up against
each other like many smaller lots down here.”
- Radford Park residents, Kirsty and Craig Duck

“The community is so warm, friendly and welcoming to people
from all walks of life,” said Shirley and Peter.
It’s always good to get to know your neighbours. We speak to those who
call this place home. Radford Park’s new residents and locals who live
and work nearby share the many rewards and insider insights into this
special part of the world.
“We loved the views, the mountains, the fresh air – and the location so close to town is ideal.
Branxton still has that small village feel but is close enough to larger centres. The Hunter
Expressway and the quick drive to the coast, Newcastle and Sydney sealed the deal.”
- Sydneysiders, Kirsty and Craig Duck
The playground of Sydney’s food, wine and golfing connoisseurs,
the Hunter Valley’s green hills and wide open spaces are now attracting
a new kind of resident.
“The best thing is the peace and tranquillity of the place, and knowing
that in the years ahead Branxton is going places. The expressway is
opening up so many opportunities for the area.
Its celebrated semillon, shiraz and verdelho may entice the
weekend crowds but what is it that draws people here to live?
It has the chance to be the showpiece of the Hunter.”
People who move here do seem to throw down strong roots. While not
a Radford Park resident, Ganga Ma is a well-known face in Branxton.
Sydneysiders, Kirsty and Craig Duck, are in the process of
completing their sprawling Radford Park home. They simply
can’t wait to move in.
“We wanted out of the rat race that is Sydney. It’s just getting too big,
too out of control. We were married in Pokolbin and loved the area.
We saw Radford Park and we were sold!”
“Local shop owners recognise us instantly, which certainly makes you
feel part of the community. We adore the wine and foodie scene, and
the concerts are definitely a huge bonus. Family and friends are already
booking rooms with us ahead of time.”
Shirley and Peter George are neighbours further along the hillside.
They too, love the sense of community this place fosters. After spending
many years in Newcastle, the pair felt a yearn for country life, choosing
Radford Park for its elevated position, good size blocks and Branxton’s
easy access to the expressway.
She runs Branxton’s monthly Sacred Tree Markets, an eclectic artisanal
showcase for artists, growers, makers, healers and lovers
of all things beautiful.
Describing herself as an energetic healer, soy drinker, and dedicated
Facebook fan, Ganga Ma’s passion for conscious consumerism and
‘slow processes’ has her right at home in the village.
“As a mother of two, this is a great place to raise children. We are
inspired by living here. There’s a sense of connectedness that you
just don’t get in the city.”
“Look at that view,” said Ganga Ma, as we sat, sipping hot tea in the
Radford Park show home, gazing towards the mountain ridge. “Doesn’t
it make you feel great?”
