Experience It! Taj Mahal
In 1631, Emperor Shah Jahan, during a time of great wealth in India, lost his wife
during child birth and was overwhelmed by grief. He ordered the construction of
the Taj Mahal the following year. It took over 20 years and thousands of
craftsmen to complete. The Taj Mahal, often referred to simply as “The Taj,” is
now one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World
Heritage site. Travellers are amazed by the immeasurable beauty of the buildings
and grounds when standing in front of the reflecting pool gazing at the
impressive white domed mausoleum. The intricate gardens that frame the
reflecting pool continually reflect the mausoleum and uniquely feature raised
pathways lined with recessed flowerbeds. Visitors are awestruck by the care
taken in crafting this sprawling complex that was created as an expression of
eternal love.

mysteriously beautiful Taj Mahal at sunset. You will stop at Mahtab Bagh – the “Moonlight Garden” on the banks of
the Yamuna River opposite the Taj Mahal – for a picture perfect view of the ornate white structure surrounded by the
