Our Annual GHES Fall Festival is TOMORROW, October 24th!
Come to the school grounds from 11am-2pm for a fun filled day of bouncy houses, bungee run, arts and crafts, cotton candy
and the TEACHER JAIL! Don't forget there will be amazing BBQ from the Carhart/Mitra families! Bring your friends to this fun
event! It's open to all! Tickets and wristbands that have been preordered will be available for pick up at WILL CALL (in front of
the front doors) and a ticket booth will also be there for any additional purchases! CASH ONLY FOR ALL FOOD PURCHASES!
Informative Parent Meetings next week for 2nd & 5th Grades
Parents of 2nd and 5th Grade students are invited to join the grade level teachers and Ms. Krista Reilly for coffee and a talk about curriculum
and new changes in Mathematics this year. Ms. Claudia Lopez will tell parents about the useful materials in the GHES Parent Center that are
available to them to take home to assist their children with homework. Please meet in the Media Center.

Tops between now and Halloween will be entered to win an Ice Cream and Cookies Party for their class! Don't forget to label your Box Tops

Rivers Shivers Halloween 5K: October 31st
Come out in your finest Halloween costume if you dare for the Rivers Shivers 5K race and dash on October 31st! Runners, walkers, strollers, all

GHES parents and supporters who came to shop and dine to benefit our school! We’d especially like to thank PTA Fundraising Chair Susan
Wheeler for organizing the event, Casey Eidson from Barnes & Noble, Kelly Hurley, Barberito’s, Ms. Draut, Mr. Jolly, the GHES Book Fairy
and Erinn Grier (who bear an uncanny resemblance to each other...), and the GHES parents who got a bit more than they bargained for when
