 JOB DESCRIPTION: CYLINDER DISTRIBUTION LOCATION: MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE nexAir, LLC is a supplier of high-­‐quality industrial, specialty, medical and bulk gases, dry ice, welding equipment, welding supplies and medical equipment. The Cylinder Distribution employee fills an important role within nexAir’s operations at our plant facility in Memphis, Tennessee. This position is responsible for loading full cylinders on to trucks. Specific Job Responsibilities: • Compliance with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases. • Handling of hazardous materials (HAZMAT). • Referring to the load sheet for the day’s orders. Accurately loading various trucks for delivery to customers. • Compliance with company and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and procedures relating to loading methods, loading for safety, availability of cylinders and weight distribution. • Operating a forklift truck. • Assisting in the orderly maintenance of the premises, vehicles or cylinders. Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • 1+ year manufacturing or plant experience preferred. • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of time, bend and use hands and arms. Ability to perform very heavy work — routinely lift 25 lb. to 75 lb., and occasionally lift 75 lb. to greater than 100 lb. Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1,000 lb. with the aid of material handling equipment. • Must be able to safely drive a forklift. • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. • The employee also occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and hazardous materials and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risks of electrical shock. • The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
