OVERVIEW
New for 2004, The FlightLite 100 Enterprise solution offers 60 times the bandwidth of
a standard T1/E1 line with a payback period of 6 months. Built on the heritage and success of our
FlightLite product line, the FlightLite 100 is ideal for price-sensitive installations and markets. For
customers who currently lease copper access between buildings from their local telecommunications
service provider, the FlightLite 100 offers significantly higher bandwidth and a welcome end to recurring
monthly charges. Within 6 months, customers are typically free of monthly charges, while operating LANs
with full-duplex Fast Ethernet speed. The FlightLite 100 provides a secure interference-free WiFi bridging
alternative at a cost-per-bit point unmatched by 802.11b, 802.11a, and 802.11g solutions.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
The FlightLite 100 incorporates product features that deliver a new total lower cost of ownership for LANs,
while providing the quality and performance our customers have come to expect from optical
wireless solutions. LP solutions are customer deployed in more than 60 countries.
§ Copper Interface – Easily integrates into existing LANs. “Plug and Play” install with CAT5 cable.
§ PoE Supply – With Power Over Ethernet (PoE), product installation is now even easier than
before. There are no electrical outlet requirements, reducing the time and costs of installation
because no electrician is necessary to lay wiring.
§ Distance Rated to 500 meters – The FlightLite 100 operates at distances up to 500 meters with
optimal performance, ideal for enterprise connectivity, especially corporate campuses operating
Fast Ethernet data networks.
§ Fast Ethernet Speed – Full-duplex bandwidth. True 100-megabit connectivity.
§ Fully Secure – No additional software upgrades are necessary to protect your data and voice
communications. With optical wireless, they are as secure as if being sent through
fiber or copper.
§ Immune to RF Interference – Optical wireless products are immune to radio frequency
interference and licensing or planning challenges.
wireless standard for ease of installation by keeping the product small yet powerful.
