Junior Achievement Company sells ‘Cayman Islands Beach Front Property’
RE/MAX Cayman Islands Sales Associates
and staff members have been volunteering
for this programme for many years. This year
Sales Associates Susan Boyko, Kass Coleman
and Kerri Kanuga mentored students of the
Caribbean Publishing Team. The students
Marco Rankine, Kody Miller, Darcia Phillips,
Samantha Frederick, Natasha Valerio, Kayla
Archibold, Jahzenia Thomas, Johan Paz,
Alyssa Manderson, Brianna Wilson, Shay Miller
and Brittany Borden founded a company and
named it Artistic Touch. Artistic Touch sold
‘Cayman Islands Beach Front Property’ – a
glass bottle with sand from the prestigious
Seven Mile Beach.
The JA Company Artistic Touch exceeded
all expectations by making a net profit of

About Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement is a youth development
programme in its 17th year in the Cayman
Islands, which provides a foundation
experience and mentoring from business
leaders for aspiring entrepreneurs. Since
1991 over 2700 students between the ages
of 14 - 18 from all government and private
high schools have participated in the
programme.
The purpose of Junior Achievement Cayman
Islands is to educate and inspire young
people to value free enterprise, understand
business and economics, and be workforce
ready. Coupled with the mission to ensure
every young person in the Cayman Islands
has a fundamental understanding of the free
enterprise system.

CI$ 1046.26 which is 149% higher than
their initial goal. Shareholders who bought
shares at CI$ 2 each were paid CI$ 3.50 per
share, giving them a 133% return on their
investment.
At the Junior Achievement Banquet which
was held on May 17th at the Marriot Beach
Resort, Artistic Touch received the awards
for Company of the Year, Product of the Year,
Sales Person of the Year – Brittany Borden,
Female Achiever of the Year – Kayla Archibold
and Vice President of Finance of the YearBrittany Borden.
Shay Miller, who has been working after
school at RE/MAX for over a year, Brittany
Borden and Kayla Archibold are going
to represent the Cayman Islands Junior
Achievement at this years CANJAC in
August. CANJAC is an International Junior
Achievement Conference held in Toronto.
