Article
Since the past 10 years, Digital Convergence has become a part of our
life and so far, it has extended our abilities and shrinks space. The Digital
Convergence has brought separate industries such as media, consumer
electronics and communication converging into a single industry. The
technology improvement of Digital Convergence makes almost any type
of data or files can be digitized, and it can be presented on a computer
or device and transmitted over a network. Now, Faxes could be sent and
received via the computer; radio could be heard via the Internet; wireless
phones could be used to receive text data and browse the internet.
The combination of all of the features and abilities from
multiple electronic systems into a simplified, converged and
computer-mediated communication system enable us to
interact, play, communicate, and share information in many
new and different ways. In this convergent world, we can
enjoy attractive products and solutions with new features. By
this, every business in industry are challenged to follow the
technology trend by adapting their product or service to the
current technology.
Convergence Drives New Business Ideas
The developing world of Digital Convergence has challenged
current business to be more competitive. Smart industries
have to adjust their business to take advantage of digital
convergence. The main current examples of converged services
concern Voice and Television over the Internet Protocol. In
many countries, service providers already offer triple-play
services which consist of voice, internet and video services.
VoIP is one of our services as well, yet we’re even developing
IPTV service to strengthen our products as a Triple Play service
to support lifestyle of modern and dynamic people.
Moreover, Digital Convergence has led many industries into
a fresh change to keep pace with the development of digital
era. In media industries, such as TV and Radio, currently has
offer online streaming which enable their program to be easily
listened or watched through the internet and can be accessed

through computer or any electronic devices.
There are more changes and innovations in the world of
Digital Convergence and since product and service offers can
be represented in digital form, every company in different
industries can easily and cheaply offers products and services
to the entire world. Electronic publishing, virtual book store
and internet banking are other examples of various products
and services that can be offered on the Internet. There is
more type of service and product exists today and it will
continuously grow along with the high development of the
internet.
Internet, the Key Role in Digital Convergence
We believe that the demand on Internet and networks is
constantly growing along with the improvement of Digital
Convergence. The need of broadband connectivity and
super-fast internet to access the digital content is, as ever
a continuing challenge for every provider, especially for us.
As we provide the best service using the latest technology
in the industry, we believe we could add more value to our
customer’s experience. Since 2005, Biznet have developed
fiber optic network to serve Large Enterprise, Small Medium
Business, Home Business or even family to provide a reliable
and faster network connection. We believe that only people
and business who are ready to make changes and adapt to
new things be able to survive and compete.

The Simple Truth
How to Manage
Your Time in Business
How often do you find yourself running out of time? Is it weekly,
daily or hourly? Usually it seems that there’s just never enough time
in the day to get everything done.
So this is why you have to try to get
serious about time management. In
business, Time is Money. When you
know how to manage your time, you will
gain control rather than busily working
here, there, and everywhere without
getting much done anywhere. Effective
time management helps you to choose
what to work on and when. Here, we
have made few points to lead you into
effective time management.
1. Planning
First, always start your day by
planning. Planning will give you the
energy to succeed in every task each
day. Generally, it should only take you
a maximum of 30 minutes to plan
your day. If you have much time, you
can even plan your event according
to daily, weekly and monthly due
date. Start to make reminder of your
plan and appointment both on your
computer and your mobile device.
Maximize the use of you email client
for planning scheduling and meeting
or task reminder, on the other hand,
your smartphone would also be your
handy assistant so why don’t you
maximize the purpose.
2. Important is Important
After planning process, you will see
what task should be done first and
successful business people always
jump on the most important thing
first. Pick the most critical thing that
need to be done and focus your

energy on them. If you have a time to
do other thing, then you will want to
do it, but if you don’t, just simply halt
them until tomorrow. Let’s say you
have two different meeting at the
same time, and both are important.
The next question would be “Do you
have a good backup resources or a
network of friends who can provide
assistance?” So if you do, then it will
much relieve.
3. Take a Break, Refresh your Mind
Take regular breaks. Many people
forget to take breaks when they are
working and do not realize they are
becoming mentally and physically
fatigued. Taking an hour break will
increase your overall productivity
even though it may feel like you are
loosing time at first. You can start
googling, shopping online or reading
some funny jokes on the Internet.

seated stretches to refresh your body,
it would much healing.
4. Managing Interruptions
Interruption is a natural and
necessary part of life, but don’t let
it ruined your business process.
This is why you need to cut away as
many distractions as possible. We
all suffer from time poverty so you
need to learn to take advantage
of the time that you do have by
limiting distractions to a minimum.
You can simply just say no to your
friend’s invitation if it doesn’t fit
your schedule or even cutting your
schedule over an urgent meeting.
But the most important thing is
when you are in the middle of your
work, whether you are checking
work email or making your business
presentation, close the entire
unimportant window on your
Internet browser to keep you focus.
efficiency, you can lose so much time on
your business process. Furthermore, slow
Internet response time can cause you
stress and anxiety.
So why don’t you choose Biznet?

Social Networking Overload
Between Friendster, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace,
Foursquare and now Google Buzz, there are just too
many social networks to keep track of. Sure, you could
pick one and stick with it, but then you might only
be paying attention to some friends while neglecting
others. It’s the worst kind of information overload.
The Tips: Use a program that aggregates several social
networks into one interface, such as Digsby or Meebo.
You might not get the full functionality of your favorite
network, but at least you can keep an eye on status
updates with minimal effort.

PT. Menara Sinar Semesta
PT. Menara Sinar Semesta was established on 2005. One of the company’s
businesses specialized in providing messaging platform such as Hosted Mail
service to various business sectors.
“Through hosted mail service, small
medium enterprise, organization or
even the government can easily have
a premium email without having their
own server. Our Hosted Mail service yet
is not as popular as Microsoft product
with its exchange server, but we believe
our product could exceed the standard
of today’s business email” marked Dani
Anjaya, the Director of PT. Menara
Sinar Semesta. The service is using the
function of Basic Linux System which
compatible and can be easily connected
to the Blackberry Enterprise Server
Services, iPhone, Android and Motorola.
The man behind this fast growing
business, Dani Anjaya, is really has a great
passion in technology and gadget. The

gadget convergences, information and
issues about mobile technology. Hosted
Mail itself launched in August 2009 and
until now, it offers two types of service
such as Standard Hosted Mail and
Premium Hosted Mail service using backend system of Basic Linux.
PT. Menara Sinar Semesta realized
that it is essential for their company to
have a good Network Service Provider
to support their business. “Once our
Internet and network connection in
problem, ten thousands or even more
emails will suddenly stopped. And of
course it would be a disaster for us
especially for our clients”, said Dani.
Since Internet and network has been a
backbone of their business, PT. Menara
Sinar Semesta chooses Dedicated Line
512 Kbps CIR 1:1 with Local Loop 2 Mbps
from Biznet to support their operational
activity. “We choose Biznet because it has
a proven reliability and high quality of
service. So far, Biznet has a prime quality
of network with 99.8% uptime. With the
support of Biznet, we believe we could
successfully maintain our credibility as
an Email Service Provider”. Stated Dani
followed by his last words,”Biznet is the
best”.

Aryondo, a graduate of University of

a friendly person among his friends.
His current position as a Network &

educational background as Bachelor
of Economic at all. It seems that his
passionate for computer and software
has led him towards his present career. “I
always have special interest in computer
since high school”, He said. After
graduated from the university in 1997,
he once worked as a Junior Accountant
in a big company in New York, but it
turned out that his former superior
sensed his passion for IT and soon he
was transferred into IT division. He joined
Biznet on October 2008, not long after
he got back to his hometown, Jakarta.
Until now, Aryondo is responsible for
maintaining or increasing the uptime
of Biznet’s services for the customers.

to services provided to the customers.
Aryondo usually spends most of his
weekend reading books or magazines
while enjoying his favorite music.
Turntables are his favorite musical

a very serious and meticulous mind.
Surprisingly, Photography is one of his
main hobbies too. During his spare time,
aside from hangout with his friends and
family, Aryondo prefer nothing better
than to photograph his surroundings. He
often visits different places to capture
beautiful scenery.
Looking towards the future, Aryondo
expressed his high hopes for Biznet to

called automotive as his main interest, especially when it
comes to Peugeot car. Deeply in love with his hobby, he
directly became an active member in one of automotive
community, Peugeot 405 Community. “Its fun having a group
of friends to share about the same hobby, we often refer to
each other’s ride with a funny name, like mine which usually
called Maman’s” said Arya.
Working at Biznet for more than 5 years, Arya still shows a great
enthusiasm like his first day. With his motto ‘Strong Dream, well
prepared and destiny’, Arya put a strong confidence for the
company growth. “My hopes for Biznet that it can be grow even

from Reggae, Rio also loves Dangdut so
much, especially when it comes to Dangdut

long and curly hair style totally similar with
Rio’s.

Internet &
Technology
The origins of the Internet date back nearly 40 years, with the U.S.
military’s funding of a research network dubbed Arpanet in 1969.
Since then, the Internet has undergone more than just a name change.
The number of computers connected to the Internet has grown
exponentially, while the number of users has risen from a handful of
computer scientists to 1.5 billion consumers. The network’s reach has
expanded beyond the United States to every corner of the globe. Back
then, the big development after was the World Wide Web, a part of
bringing the network together by allowing many data and information

types and in being able to grow without

and Douglas Engelbart’s research on NLS.
Many small self-contained hypertext
systems had been created before,
such as Apple Computer’s Hypercard.
Gopher became the first commonlyused hypertext interface to the Internet.
Another projects such as WAIS and
the FTP Archive list also attempted to
In 1990, Tim Berners-Lee finally invented
the World Wide Web as a method of
publishing information in a hypertext
format on the Internet. The Web began to
take off in 1993, after computer science
student Marc Andreessen created the
first popular Web browser, known as
Mosaic. Since then the number of Web
sites and Web pages has exploded. The
World Wide Web with its universality was
a new killer application and most people
until these days use it as information
space to share data and information
through the Internet.

As the Internet grew through the 1980s
and early 1990s, many people realized
the increasing need to be able to find

of the most promising user interface

The technology was developed through
