September 19th to 21st - French Heritage Days at the
Château de Bachen
The Guérards’ family estate, resuscitated in the XVIIth
century, towers over the Adour valley and the Gers foothills.
Its proud architecture, pediment, and roof perfectly embody
Béarnais-style. Christine Guérard displays her delightful
collections of ancient dinnerware, silverware and glassware.
Guided visit every hour.
French Gastronomy Days
Michel Guérard orchestrates a special Menu paying tribute
to our terroir for this National celebration.

In the mornings, spa treatments to reinvigorate your body,
loosening up your stiff muscles and joints. Every afternoon,
our teacher teaches Pilates class, helping revitalize body and

latest addition to the Estate
Two enchantingly cosy lounges, two fireplaces and a fairytale
barouche waiting just for you. For lunch, you can have a
savoury Tartine, toasted as you watch, and a piece of meltin-your-mouth banana bread - a treasured recipe handed
down by Chef Guérard’s aunt, who went off to live with her
GI in Louisiana in 1946.
