HOEI has just
revealed the latest
colours
for
its
X-Spirit, Raid 2 and
XR1000 helmets.
Pick of the bunch is the
X-Spirit Glory (main picture) which joins a range of
other X-Spirit colourschems
and race replicas. The
X-Spirit is Shoei’s top-ofthe-range helmet and comes
with features such as washable cheek pads and a shell
that includes carbon-fibre.
The X-Spirit scored four out
of five stars in the government’s SHARP helmet tests.
The XR1000 scored three
stars while the Raid 2
matched the X-Spirit with
four stars in the safety tests.
Race replicas include Elias,
Kiyonari, Kagayama, Locatelli
and
Vermeulen.
There’s also a brilliant Norick Abe replica but Shoei has
no plans to import it to the
UK. Abe, who was killed in a
road accident in 2007, was
one of Valentino Rossi’s
heroes and the world champion dedicated his 2008 title
to the former GP star.
