Mass & Evening Program
“Temptation and the
Sacrament of Reconciliation”
with Bishop Andrew Cozzens
Do you ever find it difficult to deal with temptation? Do you ever find
your heart torn between good and evil, between following Christ and
committing sin?
The fact is that our world is a battlefield and
being tempted is a reality of life.
Many of us face these temptations each and
every day but do our best to do what is right.
When we do wrong, we often feel the guilt and
shame from the sin that we committed.
But there is hope! There is a way to overcome
sin, grow in holiness, and live the life of
freedom which Jesus promises us!
Bishop
Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Auxiliary Bishop
Andrew Cozzens
of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis,
is our special guest tonight. He has spoken to
countless youth and young adults with the message that transforms
lives. His words and witness can transform yours…if you’re ready.
Our evening includes Eucharistic Adoration.

Mass & Evening Program
“The Eucharist: The
Healing Touch of Jesus”
Fall 2015 • Spring 2016
with Fr. Jim Livingston
Jesus promises us abundant life, but
often we find ourselves wounded in spirit
or in our emotions even though we may
be strong physically.
Many carry these interior wounds with
them throughout their entire life. Jesus
is the Healer who knows the inner needs
of each of our hearts and He alone can
reach the wounds that no one sees. The
Eucharist is the Healing Presence of Jesus.

“The Variable”
with Fr. Erik Lundgren for Mass
Evening Program with David Calavitta
Have you ever felt that you were made for more?
I think that we’ve all felt that way before at one point
or another. We find ourselves stuck in the mediocrity
around us and something in us cries for more.
Simply put: we were made for greatness.
Fr. Erik Lundgren
We are made in the image of God and called to carry
on His mission. The early Church understood this.
Though they were young, they were filled with power
and were witnesses of the greatness of heaven
coming into this world.
But what about now? Do we witness it in the same
way the early Church did? What’s changed since
then? The truth is, we are the only variable.
Fr. Erik Lundgren is the Associate Pastor of Saints
Joachim and Anne Catholic Church in Shakopee, MN.
His on-fire faith is engaging and contagious!
David Calavitta is a passionate Catholic speaker
in love with Christ and his Church. He is a popular
national speaker at major Catholic youth conferences.
He has served with NET Ministries and now is Director
of Design & Marketing for LifeTeen International.

There is a “moment of truth” in every person’s life, but there are also
“moments of truth” that we face every day. In those moments, what
we choose will make all the difference.
The reality is that insignificant decisions matter. What kind of
decisions will you make that make you?
Joining us this month from the Diocese of Duluth is
Fr. Michael Schmitz. His vibrant gift of teaching
and preaching - combined with his on-fire faith
and love of God - inspires, challenges, and calls all
who hear him to conversion to Jesus and the life of
holiness.
He is the Director of Youth and Young Adults in the
Diocese of Duluth, MN.

“Who Will God Raise Up?”
with Fr. David Blume
The time is now as the modern world awaits
the emergence of a handful of spiritual
heroes and heroines who will serve the
Church as priests, religious sisters and
religious brothers – those specially called
as witnesses of hope to a world in desperate
need of the Good News.
For High School Men Only: “The Heart of Change” with Ryan O’Hara
God is raising up a new generation of ordinary young men who have
incredible faith in an extraordinary God! Never has the need been
greater for those willing to pay the price to become heroes of faith,
men of virtue, young men willing to boldly live as disciples.
His life was changed forever when he
performed for Pope John Paul II (now a saint)
at World Youth Day before a live audience of
thousands and a TV audience of millions.
But to become who you were created to be, to live the life of
abundance God promises and be mighty in spirit there’s a price to
pay. A cost is involved. Change is required.
Since then Tony has traveled throughout
the United States and 40 foreign countries,
making countless TV appearances on
major networks, at the Vatican, and at
World Youth Days.
Saturday, February 6th, 2016
Breakouts include:
He was born without arms as a result of
his mother taking the prescription drug
Thalidomide. Growing up, Tony began
playing and singing in the Los Angeles area.
It was there at WYD that John Paul II told
him, “My wish for you is to continue giving
this hope to all the people.”

Fr. David Blume
Fr. Kevin Finnegan
The question is not: Will God raise up great
men and women for the Church’s mission?
The question is: Who will God raise up? And
the answer: Those you least expect.
With us will be Fr. David Blume from the Archdiocesan Vocations Office,
Sr. Mary David, F.S.G.M, and a great team of religious sisters and religious
brothers. Also with us will be seminarians from Saint Paul Seminary and
Saint John Vianney Seminary.
A “re-vert” to the faith, Kalley Yanta will address what it means to
choose a life of purity in an impure culture. She will describe from
personal experience what choosing to follow Jesus, and choosing not
to, can look like. A former television news anchor turned stay-athome mom, Kalley will share some of the tough lessons she learned
while pursuing a career in media, then transitioning to marriage
and raising 6 children. She will address ways to safely navigate
relationships and technology, and the importance of keeping one’s
spiritual life strong.
“Symbols, Signs, Smells & Bells:
What IS Going on at Mass?”
with Fr. Brian Park
The truth is that if you are bored during Mass, it isn’t because
Mass is boring – it is probably because
you know very little about Mass and
what is actually happening during the
celebration of the Sacred Liturgy.

Every symbol, sign, prayer, response,
gesture, bell, and smell, along with
the Creed, Scripture, and the ancient
prayers…all of these hold profound
meaning!
And when we begin to understand that
profound meaning, Mass truly becomes
the source and summit of our faith!
Fr. Brian Park
This month at Lifeline we will switch up the schedule and begin
with a dynamic presentation by Fr. Brian Park, Pastor of
Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Fr. Brian will walk
us through the Mass and explain what is really going on.
After his presentation, we have intermission and THEN
celebrate Mass.

After this event you will never want to
say that Mass is boring!
