Since 2010 BÖWE SYSTEC GmbH has been owned by the Possehl Group, which generates
annual sales of around 1.7 billion with a global workforce of over 8,600. The sole shareholder
of L. Possehl & Co. mbH is the charitable Possehl Foundation in the Hanseatic City of
Lübeck. Membership of this Group gives us the necessary stability and security to be able

Not all systems or applications are identical. And so it is only logical that you should

committed and highly qualified BÖWE SYSTEC employees are engaged in developing

State of the art
Requirements and applications are constantly changing with the passage of time. We
thus set great store by placing our existing systems and modules under close scrutiny at
regular intervals: concepts are adapted on an ongoing basis, existing functions enhanced
and new technologies incorporated into our systems. This is all done using state-ofthe-art tools such as 3D-CAD, FEM and analysis programs. Development results are
validated in line with Six Sigma in our test laboratories with their modern facilities.

Intelligent
card mailing solutions
Card mailing systems enable personalized plastic cards to be attached to a document and
inserted for dispatch fully automatically to ensure that the respective card makes it way
safely and speedily from card issuer to intended recipient. Our inserting systems, supplemented by modules with specific functions, provide the basis for supplying our customers
with individual solutions for the mailing of plastic cards. All modules have a standard operating philosophy and systems can be reset very quickly and easily from one job to the next.

BÖWE SYSTEC’s PCS system sets new card mailing standards. It can attach up to six cards
per document with a processing capacity of up to 8,000 cards per hour. Even highly complex
letters featuring changing card types and positions, varied paper formats and layouts, customer-specific texts and variable enclosure combinations can be handled easily, dependably
and cost-effectively by our system.
Secure in every respect
The PCS system ensures that every recipient is sent the right card on the correct document.
Absolute priority is given to reliability, as plastic cards frequently contain sensitive information. PCS is the most dependable card mailing system on the market. Thanks to a system
configuration tailored to specific customer requirements with flexible modules and intelligent

SORTING | SECURITY FOR MAIL LOGISTICS
Senders and recipients alike expect their mail to be delivered punctually and intact.
The number of mail service providers has risen since the liberalization of the European postal markets, with all providers facing the same challenges: the presorting
of large volumes of letters in order to ensure postage discounts, the non heterogeneous nature of mixed mail, the electronic recording of all mailpieces, and seamless mail tracking for detailed billing for mass mailers are just some of the tasks to
be mastered. Our partly and fully automated sorting systems perform logistically
perfected letter sorting as well as postal validation according to individually
selectable criteria for this target group.
