The fluidic sculpture design theme that sets Hyundai apart has
been extended to the Accent. It has been given a distinctive
front facia, a bold rear bumper design and flowing lines that
you wouldn’t normally find on a vehicle in this class. Those
who drive it love it. Those who see it want it. The all new
Accent – make sure you stare.
HEADLAMPS
The sleek headlamp design provides optimum
brightness at night, as well as an integrated look
to the front fascia of the vehicle.
FOG LAMPS
When the sun goes down, the standard fog
lamps give you a better view of the road ahead
and are noticed by those who appreciate
thoughtful design and attention to detail. The
fog lamps also provide extra visibility in foggy
weather conditions.
SIDE MIRROR INDICATORS
For increased safety when turning, the stylish
and modern indicators in the side mirrors give
those around you extra visibility and safety
when indicating.
REAR COMBINATION LAMPS
T h e s t y l i s h re a r e n d of t h e A c c e nt i s
accentuated by the rear lamps. These lamps
form a harmonious part to the rear and sides of
the Accent and deliver highly visible illumination
when the brakes are activated.
WHEELS
The Accent comes with 14” steel wheels with
attractive spoke pattern wheel covers for a modern
appearance. For your convenience and safety, there
is a full size spare wheel which is located in the rear
of the vehicle in case of emergencies.
SIGNATURE GRILLE
A distinctively large hexagonal radiator grille in
chrome and high gloss black exudes an aggressive
yet refined image, further enhancing the fluidic
design.
COLOUR CODED DOOR HANDLES
To further enhance the stylish exterior of the Accent,
the door handles have been colour coded to match
the body colour.

The Accent is a classic sedan with an elegant profile. The
design features a sweeping roof and forward thinking lines to
show off the accentuated styling of the vehicle. Whether you

going on a long journey, the Accent’s interior offers an

too – with plenty of leg and head room for the driver

sound proofing, which has been optimised throughout
the vehicle, the interior is quiet and considerate.
BLUETOOTH
Equipped with state of the art Bluetooth
functionality (Fluid Model), you can make and
receive phone calls hands free through the
vehicles audio system, keeping the driver
and passengers safe – whilst optimising
convenience. By pairing your mobile device
with the audio Bluetooth system, you are sure
not to miss any calls.
AIR CONDITIONING
The air conditioning in the Accent is convenient
and has an instantly recognisable triple dial
knob/type control system, which lets you
easily adjust the air conditioning throughout the
interior of the vehicle.
iPOD AND USB PORT
There is a USB port conveniently located on
the front console which allows you to connect
a compatible mobile device and play your music
through the vehicles stereo system. Simply put:
its plug and play on the move.

advanced and sophisticated audio system
featuring a radio/CD/MP3, which plays through
4 speakers while the Fluid has 2 additional
tweeters, to ensure that only high quality
sounds radiate through your Accent.

LUGGAGE SPACE
The Accent comes with an impressive luggage
storing capacity. This sedan offers 389 litres of
carrying space or enough to hold 2 golf bags
and 3 small bags with ease.
UP & DOWN HEADRESTS
For ultimate comfort, both the driver and
passenger seat head rests are easily adjustable
– up and down – raising to suit you in comfort
and safety.
AUTO UP & DOWN
WINDOW CONTROLS
To provide the driver with absolute convenience
and easy access, the auto up and down window
controls are ergonomically located in close
proximity to the driver’s steering column. When
activated, the windows will move upwards or
downwards without having to hold the button
in place.
STEERING WHEEL MOUNTED AUDIO
CONTROLS
For an added touch of convenience and
technology, the Accent Fluid has an integrated
audio control steering wheel which allows you
to control the audio system and adjust the
volume with the remote control. This innovative
feature ensures your hands are kept securely
on the steering wheel – which is where they
need to be.

fluidic design of the exterior. Once you have
taken the Accent out on the open road, you

IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE
When you drive the new Accent, you are immediately struck
by the quiet ride, the generous interior space and the modern
styling. You will also notice something else too: the fuel gauge
hardly drops. That is because Hyundai engineers have devised
one of the most fuel efficient engines there is, one that takes
only 6 litres of fuel burned to run for 100km*, in the case of
the 1.6 Manual transmission – ensuring you go further for less.

GAMMA ENGINES
Hyundai’s engineers are some of the best in the
world – they have pushed their standards for engine
design and build quality to the very maximum.
The Accent’s Gamma engine is lightweight which
enhances its fuel economy, and amazingly manages
to still produce a maximum of 91kW at 6300rpm and
delivers a maximum torque of 156Nm at 4200rpm.
Guaranteeing you more than enough driving
confidence for those overtaking situations.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
For absolute driving comfor t, the automatic
transmission of the Accent delivers an unsurpassed
driving experience. The automatic transmission
varies the oil pressure for smoother shifting and this
four speed automatic transmission manages to offer
drivers a highly responsive and sporty acceleration.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION
For a more controlled drive, the manual transmission
of the Accent allows for smooth, noiseless gear
shifting. The all new 6 speed manual gear box has
great all round performance thanks to a key and ball –
type synchromesh with optimised gear tooth shape
and precision machining.
REAR PARK ASSIST (FLUID MODEL)
For safer parking and reversing, sensors are
mounted in the rear bumper of the Fluid model
to help detect the unseen dangers. Should you
get a little too close, RPA issues an alert to the
driver, warning of the danger.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
(ABS)
ABS is a big deal when you are driving in the
city and on the highway. The anti-lock braking
system helps prevent the possibility of your
wheels locking up under hard braking, to help
you retain steering control of the vehicle as you
come to a stop
ELECTRONIC BRAKE FORCE
DISTRIBUTION (EBD)
With the Accent you know you can control the
vehicle with confidence, knowing you have
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD). This
dynamic system balances the braking forces at
each wheel to help you maintain control during
sudden braking. In the Accent, you can brake
with composure each and every time.
SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONERS
Make sure you always wear your seatbelt.
The driver and front passenger seatbelts are
equipped with pre-tensioners that automatically
tighten the belts in the event of a collision. They
hold you in the proper position in case the front
airbags are required to deploy, making the
airbags even more effective.
