Dear Potential Vendor:
Greetings on behalf of the Board of Directors of Afro World Enterprises, Ltd! We are pleased to
announce vendor opportunities for the 2013, 31st Anniversary African World Festival. The festival
will be held August 3 – 4, 2013 from noon to midnight, on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan at
Milwaukee's Maier Festival Park.
As a valued vendor of African World Festival, we would like to invite you to be a part of this incredible
celebration of culture and heritage of people of African descent. Below, please find registration and fee
information.

The completed registration includes the application forms, fees and Certificate of Liability
Insurance (copy). Partial payments are not accepted and any incomplete registration materials will be
returned. African World Festival will only accept a certified cashier's check or money order. Personal
checks are not accepted and will be returned.
Vendors will work with Donna Shepard, an African World Festival Board Member, and Michelle
Bryant to submit all paperwork and fees. Once payment and required forms are received, you will be
contacted for additional information and meetings. If you have any additional questions, please feel

VENDOR'S AGREEMENT
Completed application along with the registration fee (cashier's check or money order onlymade payable to African World Festival) will be considered for building, tent and/or cart wagon
space. African World Festival reserves the right to refuse space to anyone that it deems, in its
opinion, inappropriate for this event.
As a food vendor of African World Festival, I agree to the following:
CASH REGISTERS: All sales must be rung up on cash registers, which are rented through the
festival for the event.
Additionally, vendors are required to have all available cash
registers/windows open during their hours of operations. Any infraction of this rule will result in a
monetary fine of $100.00, payable immediately upon detection. If a vendor refuses to pay the
fine, they will be asked to leave the event. A second detection will result in your eviction from the
event immediately. Vendors are required to pay $75.00 for each cash register they will need in
their location.
ADDITIONAL FEES: Vendors using buildings will be charged additional fees for Grease
Trap/Filters, Building Cleaning Fees, and Gas/Electrical Hook-Ups. Vendors using Kiosks/Tents
that require Grease Disposal and electrical hook-ups wil be charged additional fees for those
services.
COMMISSION: Each food vendor is required to pay a 22% commission on all food sales, as
indicated by the cash register tapes. This commission is to be paid at the end of each night,
before the vendor leaves the grounds.
LIABILITY: I will pay all cost and expenses arising from any and all liability, injury, damage or loss to
any person or to property that may arise from my rental and occupation of booth space and/or a
cart/wagon at the festival. I, the vendor, further release and discharge Afro-World Enterprise,
Ltd., Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., the City' of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Board of Harbor
Commission from any and all liability, any loss, any injury or damage to persons or property that
the vendor may sustain while participating in African World Festival.
I do understand and accept the terms of this contract as final and binding I have read and agree to
abide by all rules set forth by the African World Festival organizers.
Acknowledgement: I authorize the investigation of all statements contained herein I understand
that misrepresentation or omission of facts is cause for automatic rejection or cancellation. I
further understand that this application is subject to approval by the AFRICAN WORLD
FESTIVAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
