THE SPEAKER
Judy Wilhide Brandt, RN, BA, RAC-CT, C-NE is the
principal of Judy Wilhide MDS Consulting, Inc. Judy is
one of AANAC’s exceptional Master Teachers for the
RAC-CT® workshop and the primary author of and
Master Teacher for AANAC’s newest workshop,
Medicare University. Since 2007, she has presented
several of AANAC’s RAC-CT workshops and, since
2009, several Medicare University workshops.
Additionally, Judy has served as an expert reviewer for
Introduction to Medicare Part A, MDS 3.0 Coding for
OBRA and PPS, Resource Utilization Groups (RUGIV) and the MDS 3.0, OBRA Timing and Scheduling for
the MDS 3.0, and Care Planning and the MDS 3.0, in
addition to being the coauthor of this course. She is
Chair of the AANAC Expert Advisory Panel and is
considered a national expert on MDS 3.0/RUG-IV, and
the SNF Prospective Payment System. Previously, she
held positions as the RAI manager and surveyor for
Virginia. Judy has consulted with CMS on several MDS
projects and served on the CMS panel that authored
and taught three national webinars for providers and
surveyors on MDS coding.

Assessment Coordinators, Physical Therapists,
Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Social
Workers, Health Information Professionals, Dieticians,
Administrators, and all members of the Interdisciplinary
Teams involved in assessment and care planning.

- Training is from 8am to 5pm (Registration on Day 1
begins at: 7:30 am)
- Lunch: 12pm to 1pm provided
- Breaks: 10am to 10:15am and 3pm to 3:15pm
- You have 90 days to pass the final exams; upon
successful completion, students will receive their RACCT® certificate in the mail

AANAC RAC-CT® Program
How the Certification Program Works: To be
eligible to become RAC-CT Certified (Resident
Assessment Coordinator - Certified) an individual
must:
1. Be a clinician/professional involved in the RAI
process.
2. Complete 10 AANAC courses, seven of which
are required as the core curriculum:
•MDS Coding for OBRA and PPS
•RUG-IV
•OBRA Timing and Scheduling
•CAAs
•PPS Timing and Scheduling
•Introduction to Medicare Part A
•Care Planning
•The three electives for this workshop are:
•Accurately Assessing Functional Status
•Five-Star Quality Rating System
•Quality Measures
* Certifications are good for two years once all
required courses are completed and passed.
CONTACT HOURS
AANAC is accredited as a provider of continuing
nursing education by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center’s Commission on
Accreditation. AANAC will charge a $20
administrative fee for all duplicate CE certificates
requests. Make sure you sign-in each day, get your
CE certificate at the end of the workshop and
keep it for your records.
REGISTRATION/CANCELLATION
AANAC and/or JW MDS Consulting are not
responsible for any fees incurred due to
cancellations or postponements.We will make
every effort to abide by our schedule. Attendee
cancellations MUST be received in writing. Refunds,
minus a $50 processing fee, will be given up to 7
business days prior to the workshop. This
deadline will be waived for emergencies, e.g. survey,
illness, etc.
Workshop handouts, morning coffee and lunch will
be provided all days.
