Talking about money can be tricky, so here are a few tips to help you feel confident in
offering Belgard Preferred Payment as the preferred payment option!
• Next time you are out with friends, ask them what they think of financing options.
Would they take advantage and why? You may be surprised at how easily people will
discuss this and how often they take advantage of it when available.
• Sign up for our bi-monthly Belgard Preferred Payment call. Participate in one for the
next three months to hear from others who are currently utilizing the program.
• Offer it on your next five jobs. Once you get into the habit, you will see how easy it is.
• Leave behind the brochure with the catalog to keep the program on the homeowner’s mind.
Getting Started
• Belgard Preferred Payment helps set you apart from everyone else walking in the
door. Even if you think your client would never need financing, it’s the fact that you,
a Belgard Authorized Contractor, are backed by a financial institution. This gives you
immediate credibility.
• Clients who use financing typically do have the money to pay. However, they like the
opportunity to manage their cash flow, which makes financing so appealing to our target
customers. They understand the value of same-as-cash and typically prefer
that option over paying in one lump sum.
• Belgard Preferred Payment also gives you the ability to upsell. The client may have
a certain budget amount because they didn’t know the possibilities of outdoor living.
By giving them a same-as-cash option, you are allowing them to dream big.

• Studies have shown that contractors who provide 3D renderings are 80% more likely to
get the job. Invest a little in the front end of the discussions with the homeowner to
secure your place.
• 3 D designs get the homeowner excited & can help upsell. When they see how the
products come together to create a beautiful backyard environment, they are more likely
to complete the job and possibly add more products.
• 3D renderings also help to get your name out there. Homeowners with 3D files
tend to email and share the images via social media which is more awareness for
your company.
