HOW NOMINEES ARE CHOSEN?
Nominations for this award are made to
each individual Credit Union by any owner,
including employees and board members.
There are numerous individuals in each
community
who
display
special
characteristics with relation to their
dedication to the community and to
co-operative philosophies. Some of these
characteristics include examples of service,
leadership and integrity. Other components
of selection may include commitment,
experience, creativity and compassion.
This award enables Credit Unions across
the Island to recognize valued individuals
who enrich the co-operative movement and
give selflessly of their time to help improve
their community.
Any owner of a Credit Union may be
chosen to receive this award.
Nominations for this award must be
received at your Credit Union no later than
August 31st of each year. Winners will be
chosen by a “Selection Committee”, and
award recipients will be recognized at the
Annual General Meeting of your Credit Union.

Have been a owner in good standing of a Prince
Edward Island Credit Union or any other Credit
Union preceding the date of nomination.
Be, or have been in good standing in the
community, understand the Credit Union
philosophy, promote co-operative ideas and
actively demonstrate loyalty to the Credit Union
movement.
Have demonstrated effective leadership within
their community and be considered a role model
for future generations.
Although Credit Union employees are not eligible
for the award, previous employees may be eligible. To be eligible as a previous Credit Union
employee it must be at least five years since active employment in the Credit Union system.
*Unsuccessful nominations may be re-documented and submitted
again in the subsequent years.
