 Market Size;
The Home Textiles market was estimated to be in excess of $1 billion.
 Private Labeling;
Growing trend in Canada towards private labeling. The trend is especially
strong in the case of large retailers and chains, where private labels may
account for between 10% and 50% of the linens stock.
 Key Seasons;
The key consumer spending seasons are spring (March to May), summer
(June to August) and Christmas. Importers make their purchases well in
advance of these seasons, for instance, buying in January and February for
Christmas in December.
 Distribution;
Home Textiles are distributed in specialty retail stores such as Linen Chest,
department stores and house wares and giftware shops.
 Bed Sheets
Over 75% of the total Bed Market is comprised of queen sized beds; King
sized beds make up about 25% of the adult market. Parents are buying more
double beds for their children, rather than the traditional single sizes.
Sheet sets generally consist of a flat sheet, a fitted elasticized sheet and one
or two pillowcases.
Fabric is generally percale or a cotton/polyester blend consisting of 180 to
200 thread count per square inch, 100% cotton sheets with as much as 300
thread count are fast becoming the market standard.
Designs range from solid colors to themes such as the sea, desert, and
cartoons.
A popular theme in bed coverings is the "bed in-a-bag" package, which
consists of a reversible comforter, 2 pillow shams, a bed skirt and a sheet set
(flat and fitted sheets and pillowcases).

and towel sets which are appealing to children (animal characters),

‫أهمية السوق الكندي‪:‬‬
‫‪ ‬يعتبر السوق الكندي من األسواق الكبري عالميا كما أنه في حالة تنامي مستمرة‬
‫حيث يزيد حجم سوق المفروشات المنزلية في كندا عن مليار دوالر أمريكي‪.‬‬
‫‪ ‬تعتبر كندا من الدول المستوردة للمفروشات المنزلية بالرغم من تصديرها لها ولكن‬
‫بقيم أقل بكثير من وارداتها‪.‬‬
‫أهم المنتجات المستوردة‪:‬‬
‫‪ ‬تشكل واردات كندا من مفروشات األسرة ما يقرب من ‪ %36‬من إجمالي وارداتها‬
‫من المفروشات المنزلية ‪ ،‬بينما تشكل الفوط ‪ %20‬في حين شكلت الستائر ‪%16‬‬
‫أهم المقاطعات الكندية المستوردة‪:‬‬
‫‪ ‬تشكل واردات مقاطعة أونتاريو من المفروشات المنزلية ما يقرب من ‪ %53‬من‬
‫إجمالي واردات كندا ‪ ،‬بينما شكلت واردات مقاطعة كيبيك ‪ %28‬في حين شكلت‬
‫مقاطعة كولومبيا البريطانية ‪ %14‬من إجمالي واردات كندا‬

‫أهم الدول المصدرة لكندا‪:‬‬
‫‪ ‬تأتي الصين في المرتبة األولي وبفرق شاسع حيث شكلت صادراتها ‪ %48‬من‬
‫إجمالي واردات كندا ‪ ،‬تليها الواليات المتحدة األمريكية بنسبة ‪ ، %15‬تليها الهند‬
‫بنسبة ‪.%12‬‬
‫صادرات مصر لكندا من المفروشات المنزلية‪:‬‬
‫‪ ‬تعد مصر المورد الثاني عشر صمن الدول المصدرة للمفروشات المنزلية لكندا إال‬
‫أن قيمتها تعتبر متواضعة بالنسبة إلجمالي واردات كندا من العالم‪.‬‬
‫‪ ‬تتركز الصادرات المصرية في الفوط القطنية التي تشكل ‪ %64‬من إجمالي صادراتنا‬
‫لكندا ثم تليها مفروشات المطبخ والحمام بنسبة ‪ %25‬من المفروشات المنزلية‪.‬‬
‫‪ ‬كما تركزت الصادرات المصرية من المفروشات المنزلية لمقاطعة كيبيك بنسبة ‪%67‬‬
‫ثم تليها مقاطعة أونتاريو بنسبة ‪ %21‬من إجمالي صادراتنا لكندا من هذا البند‪.‬‬
