Theatre
celebrated
grand
opening on the evening
of 9th September. It was
built in 1887, but was
closed in 1985. In 1993
it was purchased by
Albacete’s city council
and the reform, which
costs 9.840.370 euros
(more than 1600 million
ptas), started in 1999.
Nowadays, the theatre
has 945 seats, but from
250 seats people can’t
watch the stage because
of its situation. With
this problem the theatre
has only 700 seats, but
there are 945 people
who pay to watch (or
not) the show. Apart of
that, the grand opening
was successful because
of the visit of Queen
Sofia who came with
the mayor of the city,
the region president
and
the
most
important
business
men of the city.
Park’s
remodelling
sparks
controversy.
The works in the park
started at the beginning
of this year and they will
probably be finished at
the end of the year.
During these months the
work has been sparking
controversy
because
nobody knows how
many trees have been
destroyed. People think

Processors' world revolution. AMD & Intel continue their
aggressive race to the computer industry Olympus.
The furious battle between these two
giants of computer industry is on the
point of exceeding the incredible 3GHz
barrier, and that's because, now two
years after the outcome of Athlon
1GHz, they have almost trebled the
process speed. After the creation of the
last AMD product, Athlon XP 2800+ (it
really works up to 2250 MHz) with
Thoroughbred "B" core (0,13 micron),
it's time to stop and think over the
changes computers have undergone
from the strong appearing of AMD into
the market (1997), with the K6 chip
production.
At that moment, Intel almost had the
compatible PCs monopoly. K6 had
higher performance than its Intel's
equivalent in speed; it was cheaper and
used the x86 structure as well, so it was
compatible to Windows 95, the
predominant operating system from
1996. Intel, on its own, was setting a
new creation: Pentium PRO, which had
a higher frecuency than AMD chip and
incorporated the brand new MMX
instruccions (extra efficiency), however,
this chip was so expensive that many
people couldn't buy it, then this
processor was reserved to the high
range.
Sales figures were a bit better for
AMD than for Intel, although, after the
P.Pro (Intel) came out, AMD held the
second place. A few months later, AMD
a
started
selling
K6-2,
with
revolutionary 100MHz FSB and
3DNow instructions(in competition
with MMX). Intel success wasn't very
long, but they didn't give up. Some time
later, Pentium II appeared. It took
advantage of every new "revolutionary"
technology (AGP Port, ATX Tower,
USB...). However, Pentium II still used
66MHz FSB, and also, it hadn't as much
performance as it should had in relation
with its high price.
At the end of 1997, AMD presents
K6-3, with a performance much higher
than Pentium II, and even cheaper. It
included the 3DNow instruccions
improved and 100MHz FSB. Intel
answered quickly with Pentium III,
which had a performance higher than
any AMD chip, and, nowadays, it's still
alive. Now, AMD made no profit with
K6-3, so it just produced tow models of
this chip (400MHz and 450MHz),in the
meanwhile it was waiting for the
adequate moment to show the chip
AMD K7 (called: athlon).
The hardest fight between the two
titans was in 1998, into the high range.
Intel developed Intel Celeron for the
low range (a poor performance
processor without cache memory), and
AMD continued with K6-2 for this
range. Athlon was a great change, it set
the direction of the current informatics.
It included the brand new DDR
technology (Double Data Rate), which
makes the 100MHz FSB work like a
200Mhz one (100x2). Intel was going
worse and worse in the speed field; it
had only the reputation of its name.

1,4GHz and 1,5GHz; and it was very
easy improve them in the future. AMD
had lost the frecuency battle, then it
produced the Athlon XP, which besides
the

name
XP
(eXtra
Performance), taken from the well
known operating system (Windows
eXPerience), its speed was equivalent to
PIV frecuency.
Currently, Intel has presented
Pentium IV 2800MHz and it's expected
that before year ends it reachs 3GHz,
meanwhile, AMD has already started
selling Athlon 2800+.
Personally, I reckon AMD is a very
good companion, and, although it has
been beaten by Intel, it's much more
economical and reliable. Any way, the
choice of your processor is up to you.

Last 7th of October, in Motegi ( Japan), Valentino Rossi did not do what
he always does. Everybody thought that he was going to win, but a
Brazilian racer gave us a surprise, Alex Barros got to defeat the champion
because of his new Honda V5 4T like Rossi. So, the other racers start to
have 4T motorbikes, and the championship is every time more exciting.
However, Rossi has proved it before Grand Prix that he is one of the best
racers in the world.
The new Ducati 999s Testastretta is the motorcycle of the future.
It is the most advanced motorbike ever made by the Italian manufacturer.
The Ducati 999s is the most powerful symbol in the racing history of
Ducati and represents the evolution of the formula that has dominated the
world of Superbike racing for more than a decade. For the first time,
Ducati has built the perfect vehicle which fuses power-train, chassis and
rider dynamics.
It is something usual that Schummacher always wins, so people
will not be surprised if we say that this genius has won the F1
Championship for his fifth time.
Nowadays, the mission of all racing teams consists of being at the
level of Ferrari. This racing team takes a lead of at least one second in

to which the F60 owes its technology, while highlighting its compactness
and lightness. The result is a complex, sculpted form.

ROLE GAMES

The Role Games are something similar to a theatre play, but the players develop the story
about a table, so the action is only spoken. In the Role Games the players perform the role of a
fictitious characters in an imaginary world. One of the players is the “Master”; he invents the plots
in the role game. The players are free to decide the actions of their characters.
Another type of Role Games are the War-Games, games with miniatures and a game board.

Wargames
Vampire: The Masquerade – In this game you are a Damned
Children of Cain (Vampire). You have special abilities, vg:
you can fly and you’re immortal. But you have weak spots, vg:
you’re tender to the sun. It have the best system of game of all
games.
The Lord Of The Rings – This game is based on the
Tolkien’s novel. In this game you can play any race from this
story, vg: Elves, Humans, Orcs…
Dungeons & Dragons – It’s another epic role game, like to
The Lord Of The Rings, but with other rules.
Cyber Punk – The epoch of this RPG is about the year 2020,
in this game, USA are in decadence, and Europe is the region
most important of the world. This is a futurist game in that you
can drive flying cars, and you become a semi-cyborg.
WereWolf – This Game is similar to Vampire, but you’re a
werewolf.
Warhammer: Fantasy (RPG) – This game have a game
system very simple and dynamic but also you have a great
game to play if you are an amateur player. This gamed is
based on The Lord Of The Rings RPG, but we can say that this
is more simple.
Star Wars – What can we say about this game? Is evident. It
have a system of game simple and efficient.
Warhammer: Fantasy Battle – This is the most
famous wargame. You have control over an
miniatures’ army and you fight with other enemy’s
armies in a fantastic epic battle. The races of your
armies are based in the Tolkien’s book.
Warhammer 40,000 – This game is similar to
Warhammer: Fantasy battle, but in this versions the
epoch is a future full of wars between planetary
empires.
The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The
Ring – This game is based 100% in Tolkien’s story
and the game’s system is the same as Warhammer.

There are a lot of phenomea which had happened to many people in strange
places, and other experiences that our mind cannot understand. Are these stories true or
a big sham? Do the ghosts really exist? Are the ghosts souls that come back from
death? Are they the result of telepathy? Could they be an hallucination or the result of
autohypnosis? Psychology advances during the last decades have expanded on knowledge
of some aspects of phenomenal appearances, but the truth has ran away from our
understanding.
The most common form of «ghosts» is the «crisis apparition», which happens when
a person is nervous or tense -sometimes he/she is near of the death-, the ghosts
appear to somebody they had a close link with (occasionally as a voice without a body).
Most cases of crisis apparitions
have dramatic connotations. For instance, some soldiers
have seen by their mothers or wives some minutes before their death where they were
