PISA and TIMSS
PISA: Programme for International Student Assessment
Triennial international survey which aims to evaluate
education systems worldwide by testing the skills and
knowledge of 15-year-old students (http://www.oecd.org/

how to instruct and assess.
General instructions for
students on writing reports.
Progression in writing.
Checklist for students –
attached to lab-report.
Examples of "excellence".
o  All teachers in a course meet and
discuss.
o  Constructive frequent feedback.
o  Information retrieval and source
criticism.

Do you have to reject
a report to make the

feedback?
These questions and
suggestions

•  … knowledge about relevant research areas within educational science
•  … knowledge about assessment and feedback on oral and written
reports
•  … practice on how to handle, i e give and take, criticism
•  … knowledge about administrative work connected to labexercises here
•  … learn how to perform/develop risk assessments of lab exercises
•  … receive new perspectives on teaching through a real project
connected to own teaching
•  … be encouraged to continue pedagogical development
•  … suggest changes in teaching to strengthen the student's learning
