 2015 Summer Intensive Faculty Lauren Adams Lauren was featured in the original musical Falco in Vienna Austria. She was also a member of IV Dance Company, and Jason Parsons’ Parsons Dance Project, with which she performed in The New York/Seoul International Dance Festival in Korea. Most recently she performed at the Festival Des Arts in Montreal with ASH Contemporary Dance Company. Her choreography has been showcased in Terpsichoreal in Los Angeles, as well as in festivals in Prague, Czech Republic, and Tropea, Italy. Her work has also been presented at the 2004 Jazz Dance World Congress, as well as The 25th Anniversary Gala of the Jackson International Ballet Competition. In NYC, she has been a contributing Choreographer for Broadway Underground, Pushing Progress and several DRA events including: Fire Island Dance Festival, and Dancing at the Crossroads. Lauren was also the founding Senior Music Editor of movmnt magazine. She conceived, choreographed, and produced the show Moving Still, presented at the Harry De Jur Playhouse in NYC. A photography book of the same name was inspired by the show, and published by e-­‐maprod shortly thereafter. For more information visit www.movingstill.net. Lauren has taught at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and The Juilliard School in NYC. In Los Angeles, she has served as part-­‐time faculty for Loyola Marymount University where she was commissioned to create an original work for their Dance Department. Lauren is the Producer and Director of the Choreography Lab "Dance Writing Tuesdays" based in NYC. Chantel Aguirre Chantel Aguirre trained with San Francisco Ballet, The Dance Company of SF and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has performed with San Francisco Ballet, Cedar Lake, Soul Escape, Lunge Dance Collective, Tayeh Dance, Shaping Sound and Still Motion. She has worked with Beyonce, Adele, Florence and the Machine, The Goo Goo Dolls, Taylor Swift, Ceelo Green, Christina Perri, Panic at the Disco, and Chris Brown. TV credits: “Dancing with the Stars”, “So You Think You Can Dance”, the Academy Awards, VMA’s, AMA’s, MACY’s Passport, Billboard Music Awards, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, BET Awards, “GLEE”, “X Factor”, “Good Christian Belles”, “Two and a Half Men” and “Mad Men”. She tours with NUVO Dance Convention. Noel Bajandas Born and raised in Union CIty, New Jersey, a majority latin based community, Noel learned how to dance from his mother, who showed him the love and art of latin music and dance. MTV being his favorite station growing up, Noel trained himself by imitating all of the dances in their music videos, award shows and concert specials, which in turn, helped develop his natural raw talent into true passion. After joining his first dance company in New York City at the age of 18, Noel realized that this was the path he was intended for, and since has had the opportunity to share his art with Artists like Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, Toni Braxton, and Daddy Yankee, to name a few. He ran away with the circus for a while when he toured worldwide with Cirque Du Soleil's 'Delirium', the companies first touring arena show, as well as working on TV films Camp Rock 2 and the Bring It On Series. As a Choreographer, Noel has worked along side Mia Michaels in shaping a few group productions on Season 5 of So You Think You Can Dance. As well as working on the 2010 TV Land Awards, Dancing With The Stars, and is currently working as Artistic Director and Choreographer for Billboard Dance Artist Consuelo Costin. Noel teaches various styles of dance in Los Angeles at the International Dance Academy in Hollywood and continues to INSPIRE and EVOLVE this leading generation of dance today. Alex Blitstein Born and raised in Northern California, Alex Blitstein’s dance career began after 12 years of competitive gymnastics training. Alex moved to San Diego to attend college where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and Science from San Diego State University. While in college Alex traveled as a master teacher / choreographer and coached collegiate level gymnastics all on top of being in a professional dance company. Alex’s mix of talent and ambition sparked his multi-­‐faceted career. Alex started out 2013 assisting for Break the Floor Productions on both Jump Dance Convention and their newest convention 24 Seven, where he was offered a permanent position both demonstrating and running admin alongside the Executive Director. Alex was most recently on set filming the finale episode of Glee’s 4th season as a principal dancer alongside American Idol’s Jessica Sanchez. Other credits include dancing for Jennifer Lopez, in the Disney Channel hit show “So Random”, FOX networks “Mobbed”, and has danced in industrials for Esteé Lauder, Adidas, Genetech and Flash Mob America. He has also performed with Mental Head Circus directed by renowned aerial and dance artist Terry Beeman. Alex has set work on and taught at the dance departments at countless top universities across the United States as well as multiple professional companies. Summer McCarroll Bonnecaze Summer McCarroll Bonnecaze is a professionally trained dancer with a wide range of education in dance including contemporary, ballet, jazz, and musical theater. Her early training was under the direction of Dianna Jones at Jean Leigh Academy of Dance in Louisiana. She has studied with master teachers such as Jason Parsons, JT Horenstein, Jackie Sleight, and Joe Lanteri. Summer was a guest performer with the Livingston Parish Dance Company at the Tanzsommer International Dance Festival in Innsbruck, Austria. Summer was a finalist with So You Think You Can Dance, Las Vegas. She also was a performer as a dancer for the Macro Fashion Showcase New Orleans, La. under the direction of Ryan Auld. Summer was a member of Willow Oak Contemporary Ballet, Baton Rouge, La. Summer is a graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduating Summer moved to New York and performed as a dancer of Perception Contemporary Dance Company. She performed as a principal dancer in the show Rock On/Live for Music. She toured for three years with New York City Dance Alliance as a dancer and assistant. Summer has also toured with La Dance Magic as a performer and assistant. Also while in New York she was on staff as an instructor with Westchester Dance Academy, Westchester New Jersey. Summer is currently on staff with Jean Leigh Academy of Dance as a teacher and instructor for Jean Leigh’s dance company for juniors, teens and seniors. She also teaches master classes for various studios. Her combs consist of a variety of body movement and placement influenced by her extensive technical training and understanding of ballet. She is awarded for her choreography at numerous dance conventions such as L.A. Dance Magic and Showbiz. Teddy Forance Teddy Forance grew up surrounded by dance as the fourth generation to live in his family’s studio, the Hackworth School of Performing Arts in Massachusetts. He took his career to a professional level at the age of 17 by traveling throughout Greece as a dancer for international pop star Anna Vissi. In the years following, Teddy partnered with many esteemed choreographers including Michaels, where he assisted the Celine Dion Taking Chances tour, as well as performing as a lead dancer on Cirque du Soleil's Delerium. Well-­‐known for his work with seasons two and three of the Fox reality show So You Think You Can Dance, he received an honorary Emmy nomination. Teddy has begun to carve his career on the Dancing with the Stars stage as well, both as a featured performer and as a choreographer for Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald. He has also performed with award-­‐winning artists including Lady Gaga on American Idol, Usher at the American Music Awards, Florence and the Machine at the MTV Video Music Awards, among others, and choreographed for Kelly Clarkson on the American Music Awards. Currently, he teaches around the world for JUMP Dance Convention. Teddy is a founding member of the Los Angeles based dance company Shaping Sound. Michael Keefe Michael Keefe trained from an early age at Kerry Smith's Academy of Dance Arts and K&M Studio, Inc. in Massachusetts. He was also a featured dancer with The Massachusetts Youth Ballet. A diverse, competition dancer, Mike won numerous individual titles including "Mr. Headliner". He then went on to expand his training at NYU's Tisch School for the Performing Arts. In addition to performing Mike has gained acclaim as a choreographer, has held multiple teaching positions across the country and was a judge for Hall of Fame Dance Competitions. His professional credits include dancing with recording artist JoJo, performing at the New York City Fringe Festival and being a featured soloist in Rhythmic Circus' "Feet Don't Fail Me Now". He was also a featured tap dancer at the 2005 Presidential Inauguration Celebration & the off Broadway show, Mike Minery & Friends. He is a proud member of Bad Boys of Dance and has been a featured performer in "Rock the Ballet" since it's debut in 2008. Adrian Lee After graduating high school, Adrian relocated to Los Angeles and to attend Loyola Marymount University. Some of his dance performance credits include Sonya Teyah Dance, Bad Boys of Dance, Shaping Sound, Cirque du Soleil’s “Iris,” “All the Right Moves,” Rihanna, Shania Twain, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance seasons 7 & 9, and the MTV Video Music Awards. Adrian currently teaches for Hollywood Vibe dance convention touring all over the country. Jason Parsons Jason Parsons grew up in Rochester, NY. Since arriving in NYC, Jason has trained with some of the best master teachers and choreographers. He has performed with companies such as River North Dance Company, Mia Michaels R.A.W, Dinyos Dance Company (Japan), and the POZ Dance Theater (South Korea). His Industrial credits include Sony, BMW, DaeWoo, and General Motors. He has danced with recording artist Diana King, SWV, and Celine Dion. His television credits include Fame L.A, Star Search, and The Essence Awards. Jason has created work for Rasta Thomas's Bad Boys of Dance, Odyssey, HoustonMet, and the Evolution Dance Company. Internationally, his work has been performed at the Gwang Ju Biennale Festival (South Korea), Baudelaire (Japan), Artedanza (Italy), Nokia Awards (Czech Rep.), Minjockchoom Cultural Festival (South Korea), Puglia Danza (Italy), and the Seoul Contemporary Jazz Dance Festival (South Korea). He has graced the cover of Dance Magazine in South Korea and Italy, and has also appeared in the book Moving Still. In May of 2007, Jason collaborated with Italian Artist Elena Parisi to create a moving installation for her premiere exhibition in Milan, Italy. In February 2008, Jason formed his own company called Jason Parsons Company. His company has performed in New York City at the Joyce Soho, Dixon Place, Manhattan Movement and Art Center, Alvin Ailey, and for APAP at Carnegie Hall. In January 2010, Jason premiered a new solo work at the "Dance From the Heart Event" at the Cedar Lake Theater. He has taught all over the U.S., Canada, England, Japan, South Korea, Cypress, and the Czech Republic. Alison Stroming Alison Stroming was adopted from Recife, Brazil at the age of eight months and started dancing when she was three years old. She was accepted to The School of American Ballet where she began her formal ballet training at the age of nine. While at SAB, Alison performed with The New York City ballet in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Swan lake, Sleeping Beauty, Harlequinade, Coppelia, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She attended the American Ballet Theater Summer Intensive in New York in 2004. Franco De Vita, principal of the JKO School at ABT, offered her a full scholarship to the new Junior Division. With JKO she has performed in numerous technical demonstrations and performances at The Juilliard School, Guggenheim Museum, City Center, The Metropolitan opera House, Joyce Theater, and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Alison also toured with The American Ballet Theater II in Europe in 2010 and 2011 performing roles in Allegro Brillante (Balanchine), Continuo (Tudor), A Taste of Sweet Velvet (Jodie Gates), and Interplay (Robbins). She was a demonstrator for the regional tour of Jump: The Alternative Convention directed by her brother, Gil Stroming. She was also featured in Pointe Magazine’s “In The Wings” in the February/March 2010 issue. Alison danced for two seasons with the Alberta Ballet in Canada. With Alberta Ballet Alison toured across Canada and danced roles in Kirk Peterson’s Swan Lake, Jean-­‐Grand Maitre’s Love Lies Bleeding, Cinderella, The Nutcracker and George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, just to name a few. She recently danced with Ballet San Jose under the new direction of Jose Manuel Carreno where was the youngest female dancer. Alison is now dancing for Dance Theatre of Harlem. Matt Dorame Warner Matt Dorame Warner comes to us from Phoenix, Arizona. At an early age, he traveled and toured with the Los Angeles Classical Ballet to China, and later with West Coast Dance Explosion and Co Dance as a featured assistant. Matt has trained at many prestigious summer institutions including American Ballet Theater and Boston Ballet. Some of Matt's most notable credits include featured dancer on MTV's American Mall, lead dancer in the Shawn Borrow music video "Army of Kings", and top 13 contestant on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance. Matt has also worked to assist SYTYCD choreographers Mia Micheals, Tyce Diorio, and Dee Caspary. While living in New York Matt danced with the renowned Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. Matt also got to perform on broadway with the Radio City Rockettes in The Christmas Spectacular, and off broadway with iLuminate in Artist of Lights.
