Dear Breeder
Once again, we are extremely grateful to all those breeders
around the world who have supported the Shadwell stallions
in 2014. Never have they been more popular. It is a long term
commitment to breed Arabian horses for the racecourse.
Chndaka and Nivour de Cardonne need no introduction especially in the USA. Nivour de
Cardonne’s daughter Our Princess is undefeated in 2014 in the USA having won at
Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 level. Kaolino, who also stands in the USA has had a
number of top performers, in particular Kalino, a winner in Qatar and runner up in
the Doha Cup.
In France, Madjani has started to make a mark in the toughest environment. His winners have
included the highly promising Handassa and leading three year old Bon Baiser de Faust.
Other winners in UK, France, Sweden, USA and UAE indicate a great future for him, replicating
the success of his sire, Tidjani. Also in France is Al Saoudi, who from limited opportunities,
has produced class individuals such as Najlaa, who will surely add to his successes in 2015.
Of course, Al Saoudi carries the blood of two star performers in France this year in Al Mouhannad
and Al Mourtazez through his sister Arwa.
We are pleased to be able to inform breeders that No Risk Al Maury will be returning to France
in 2015 to stand alongside Madjani and Al Saoudi at Haras de Saint Faust. No Risk Al Maury’s
foals have received great acclaim so we are delighted he will be available to French breeders
for natural covering again.
Finally, in the United Kingdom, there will be Monsieur Al Maury. He has produced Vulcain du Clos,
a notable performer throughout 2015 in France, Turkey and Belgium. Again, from limited
opportunities, he has shown he can produce good, tough individuals for the racecourse.
Al Hibaab became Sheikh Hamdan’s star performer in 2014. This son of Al Sakbe, whose
stud career was sadly cut short, gained wonderful victories in the Dubai International Stakes
at Newbury and the International IFAHR Trophy in Turkey. While Al Sakbe is not available
to breeders, his other accomplished son Al Jakbar has some homebred stock going into
training to race in 2015.
I would like to wish all our clients a successful 2015 breeding season. The team at Shadwell
will be only too pleased to help in any way possible. We hope breeders will take advantage
of the opportunity to use some of the top Arabian stallions in the world, either through
natural covers or frozen semen. We continue to push back the boundaries, so please
get in touch.
About Shadwell Arabian Stallions:
From its origins in the Middle East, Arabian racing has become increasingly popular
across Europe and Shadwell Arabian stallions have been at the
forefront of this sport since the beginning.
The original UK based operation was housed at Melton Paddocks, Norfolk.
The high quality and popularity of the stallions offered by Shadwell meant
the business of standing Arabian horses for breeding soon expanded to
become a global one. Today we stand 5 Arabian stallions in the UK
and France and another 3 in the USA with the help of our partner studs.
In addition to the stallions, 70 horses in training race in the UK, France,
Ireland and the U.A.E in the same famous blue and white colours as our
Thoroughbred representatives.
The Arabian stallions, like their Thoroughbred counterparts, have won
numerous Gr.1 races all over the world. Their progeny likewise have been
successful across the globe with wins as far afield as the USA, Sweden,
Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Shadwell Stud also supports Arabian racing globally under the banner of
Dubai International Arabian Races in the UAE, France, UK, Italy, South America
and Australia. This new initiative sponsors and organises Europe’s premier
Arabian Race Day, staged in UK, with free entry for everyone.
Best wishes for 2015.

Today, a new initiative brings them together under one banner: Dubai International Arabian
Races. The aim of this programme is to help develop the sport in countries where it is in its
infancy as well as continuing to support events in countries where it is well established.
Dubai International Arabian Races include races in the UK, France, Italy, South America
and Australia, as well as the Europe’s premier Arabian Race day in England.
Rome (Italy) - May 2014 & La Teste de Buch (France) - July 2014
Sunday 11th May at Rome’s Capannelle Racecourse saw the 10th anniversary of Shadwell’s
support of a day of Thoroughbred and Arabian Racing under the new banner of “Dubai
International Arabian Races”. In July, 2 Arabian Group races were sponsored at La Teste de
Buch, in France, for 3 year-olds: Prix Razzia III (Gr.3 PA) for fillies and Prix Tidjani (Gr.3 PA)

for colts and geldings.
The sponsorship of races in France and Italy cements Shadwell’s commitment to the sport
of Arabian racing not just in the UK but across Europe.
