T
he Third Al Mohamadia Arabian Horse Championship under the Patronage of HRH Prince
Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud
and the Higher Organizing Committee with its president
Prince Abdullah Bin Fahad Bin Abdulla Bin Mohammed
Al Saud and his managers Karin & Bruce McCrea, was
held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on April 7 & 8, 2010. This
year it has been upgraded to an ECAHO International Bshow due to the resounding success earned by the two previous Championships. It will was once again a well attended and run Event thanks to the experienced team, held for
the first facility outside of Riyadh, The King Abdul Aziz
Military College. There were many spectators in attendance from the local area and visitors from other countries
as the competition was open to international participants

ORAN AL KHALEDIAH. The trophy
was handled over to the proud owner himself, HRHP Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Nooran Al Khalidiah was
directly followed up by another example of
exquisite type and presence, the Italian bred
FEDORA RG (WH Justice x Psyches Angel), now standing at Atbah Stud, HRHP
Abdul Aziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz
Al Saud, who completed the triumph with
the Bronze Medal of his gorgeous filly ROHARA CASHMERE (Sir Fames HBV x
Nearly 180 horses started in 12 ECAHO-classes followed
by the four corresponding Championships to win very
valuable prize money, 1.000.000 Saudi Riyals total and
important recognition. The competition was judged by the
most knowledgeable and expert panel assembled – using
the 20 points system with half points. Mrs. Christianne
Chazel (France), Ms. Claudia Darius (Germany), Mrs.
Ann Norden (Sweden), Dr. Niko Jung (Germany) and
Mr. Willy Poth (France) honored the event with their consistent expertise. The accordance with the specific format
and rules outlined by the ECAHO was strictly enforced by
the approved Disciplinary Committee members, Dr. Gisel
Berger (Germany) and Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Amira. The
large number of entries was handled in a speedy and most
professional manner, thanks to the experienced hands of the
Ringmaster Philip Jenkins (Great Britain).

The Colts Championship was dominated by the homebred
representatives of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques,
King Abdulla Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. Only one year old,
but showing already masculine expression and a beautifully chiseled head and neck, the victory of the Gold Medal
went to AL MONTASER (Koronec x El Masoufah), who
could become a worthy successor of his famous father in the
In the Fillies Championships, the quality was already very
high and the decisions not easy to take. The two first placed
horses out of 4 huge classes qualified on Wednesday already to participate on Thursday evening late in the Final
Championships.
The Gold Medal honors went to a lovely daughter of the

time! The Mares Championship should
always be a perfect example for beauty and grace, combined with harmony
and femininity, just as it was this time
at the Al Mohamadia Show. The Gold

future. Another promising young colt of the farm achieved the Silver Medal. The lovely bay Psytadel-son BANDAR (out of Horiah) received high marks in all criteria
and could convince the judges during the Championships
as well. The winning trio completed the flashy, strongly
moving chestnut colt REVOLUTION (Padrons Psyche
x Queen Victoria GA), bred by a partnership from Great Britain and wisely selected for his farm by Mohammed
Medal went to the exquisite LANA AL KHALEDIAH
(Aja Sangali x Thee Evening Star), bred and owned by Al
Khalediah Farm who provided with Lana’s stable mate,
the exotic OM EL BERNADETTE (Om el Shahmaan
x Om el Benedict), bred at Om el Arab International USA,
also the Silver Medal Winner – a great success for the farm.
To the great joy of Al Fala Stud, the Canadian bred ADARA AL FALA (Akid Geshan x Salima al Shaikh) achieved the Bronze Medal.
Last but not least, the stallions were ready to rock the ring
and fight for the last Championship honors. With fantastic
presence and enormous movements, ASHHAL AL KHALIDIAH (Aja Sangali x Psyches Kyss), a halfbrother to
the Gold Champion Mare Lana al Khalidiah, slanted the
decision to his favor and took the Gold Medal for Al Khalediah Farm. The superb Silver Medal went to another
Koronec-son with not less quality, the impressive bay SABEA AL SAHRAA (out of Nouf Al Thalitha) who added
another title to his career for the Custodian of Two Holy
Mosques, King Abdulla Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The last
award, the Bronze Medal was handled over to the Sons
Husain Bin Mohamed Basha for their typey AL KHATAB AL THANI (Al Batran x Hanan al Thaniya).
